BlackBerry 8900 Curve crops up on in corner of Rogers website
We know it’s on its way and that and should be released in Germany within the month but for those eagerly awaiting the release of BlackBerry 8900 Curve in the Americas – with a particular emphasis placed upon the Bold-less souls of T-Mobile – the latest Curve-related gaffe is a bit more than careless and cruel. Rogers has listed the 8900 on its games download site which is a peculiar and presumed error since it doesn’t even list the 8220 Pearl Flip which was announced on the 4th of this month. Perhaps someone made an error and meant to list the 8220, but the fact still remains that the yet to be official 8900 is in the web system and that is a good sign for consumers. As for possible release dates, rumors are flying around that T-Mobile USA is hoping to have the 8900 ready to cash in on what will surely be a Black Friday for the ages while Rogers is a lot more up in the air with a launch just after T-Mobile or in very early 2009.
Do you guys have any inside information as to when the 8900 (javelin/jupiter) will head over to Verizon? Thanks.

This has to be the best news I have heard yet today. Hopefully, the rumors of a Black Friday release date are spot on.
The HTC Diamond is also in that screenshot from Rogers’ webpage. I went there to try and find the same information, but the current list of phones in the games download section is a lot shorter than that I see in the screenshot. Neither the 8900 or the Diamond are currently listed.

Yeah the word on the street was always Q1 2009. I was actually hoping that release date was wrong, and now I have some hope to get my grubby little paws on this baby on Black Friday.

my cousin works for t-mobile and according to him it should be releasing this year… although he doesn’t really know when exactly :/
The 8900 won’t launch on T-Mobile this year. They’ve been told it will be next year.
The rep at a T-Mobile store here in St. Louis told me yesterday that the 8900 would be in the store before the end of November. Just passing it along – he could be wrong (after all he couldn’t help me unbrick my 8100).

I like how the blackberrie’s have been spread out to all 3 major providers, Verizon- Storm, At&T – Bold, and now T-mobile – 8900 Curve….i have been anticipating this release for a while now, espcially since the G1 release because its a debate between those two….I really hope the 8900 is released on Black Friday, that would be a great idea to release before the holidays and put another great phone on the market
