I had an Iphone but switched to the touch pro. So far I am really impressed with the TP and Sprint’s coverage has been great (my normal dead spot with AT$T is gone). I know that I am getting faster broadband too. As far as the size goes, it is less bulkier than the Iphone, and the slide out keyboard is great. Way more applications for it too. Good job HTC and Sprint!!!

I got this phone for my birthday on Nov 2nd. So far I’m lovin it.. I have a bunch of programs (3rd party) already installed (scanbuy scanlife, Macrospecs FriendMobilizer, Magnifoca Inc Snap2Face, SlingPlayer Mobile, Realnetworks Realone Player, Palringo, Iskoot for Skype , Resco pocket Radio Today, Microsoft SQLE 2.0, mrblue Gsync, Google Maps, Fringland Fring, Geo Terrestrial Systems GPS Today etc…) It took me no time to get used to this phone. I was a hard core treo user and switched to the Instinct when it came out but I’ve been waiting for HTC Touch HD but Touch pro changed my mind considering the sweet keyboard they integrated to the phone. The phone doesn’t feel big at all if you were a treo user you’ll know what I mean..

I’ve had the phone for a week now (Got it at a Best Buy store). The best thing is that Best Buy did away with rebates, so while you are waiting months for yours, I got mine instantly, along with 20% off to boot! This by far is the best deal on this phone. I think the phone looks great, feels good in the hand, and functions quite well. Sure there are small buggy things, but what phone does’nt have some issues. I too was a previous VW customer for 16+ years, and was nervous about coverage and the Sprint Customer service. I have great coverage and have been helped promptly each time I called Sprint. So far, I am a satisified Sprint Customer. Way to go Sprint!!!

ive seen this thing in stores and it doesnt look like the picture they keep showing. it has chrome sides and a silver-ish back, its not all black by any means. the sprint version also seems physically larger than the original device from htc.

on another note, i wish the fuze will be announced soon, and i hope att doesnt change it too much physically like sprint did

Would really apppreciate someone to say something about the difference regarding the HTC Touch Pro with Sprint and the FUSE which purportedly is the Touch Pro for AT&T- Physical differences if any, Im sure there will be a software diff, but are both Identicle in physical being?

Had the HTC Touch Pro from Sprint for 18 hours before taking it back. FYI the FM Radio has been disabled, this phone does not include the Blackberry Connect Service and this phone is not compatible with Sprints NFL Live or Nascar programs. Was a real waste of time. Touch Screen was not nearly as functional as that on an I-Phone and keyboard was slow in keeping up. Now waiting for the Blackberry Bold. Thankfully AT&T welcomed me back with open arms.

Finally it’s online. We’ve had it in our store (a corp store) for about a week now. To be honest, I’m not impressed. The phone feels cheap, and the chrome or whatever it is on there makes it look like a toy. It has basically the exact same keyboard as the mogul. I got the diamond through the advocate program at sprint and I hate not having a physical keyboard, but I couldn’t carry around this thing. It’s hideous.

I picked up my Pro on the 24th through Best Buy for $229 (although it took 3 days to flippin’ activate) and it is a great phone; although Opera Mobile and the accelerometer have been a little buggy.

The simply everything plan is outstanding though, I had been with VZW for 5 years prior to this and was reluctant to switch because of the coverage issues; but I haven’t had any problems so far and I travel a lot in Wyoming and Colorado. It is also sweet that Sprint TV and data coverage work while roaming- in direct contrast to VZW’s which would go haywire whenever roaming in NE or other places they don’t have coverage.

Your information about the Everything Plan or Data pack is a bit misleading. It sounds like you need to have an Everything plan AND a data package to get the rebate. This isn’t true. You need the everything package OR a voice plan with a data pack.

I am one who would opt for the non-Pro version. Virtual keyboards are sufficient and physical keyboards just make the phone fat. I understand this is just my preference and other like real keyboards.
