Some AT&T stores to sell Blackberry Bold tomorrow
We just got word that there are a few AT&T stores out there that have the Blackberry Bold in stock, and they might be selling them as soon as tomorrow! While it’s only two days before the official release date, we know that for some of you, it couldn’t be soon enough. One of our faithful readers chimed in letting us know they were able to play around with a Bold in store. At that location, they said they’d be selling them tomorrow, November 2nd. So, after calling around and seeing whether this was an isolated case, we’ve come to learn that there are some stores that are getting ready to dish out these BlackBerrys before the official release. Before you go waiting at AT&T’s doors before they open up, be sure to call your local store first to make sure they will be selling it. Remember, this is all at the manager’s discretion and not all stores will be offering them up. If your store isn’t selling until the 4th, check out our review of the Bold from this summer to get your appetite going and to temporarily satisfy your Bold cravings.

The stores I’ve called in Los Angeles (5 mile radius from 90210) are reporting that they WILL NOT sell them until the 4th.

@Matt. I’m in DC area as well. So far I tried ATT on Jeff Davis HWY the one on Duke St in VA. No luck. In fact they don’t have a clue as to when. Pls keep me posted on your findings.

2 ATT stores near me in NW suburbs of Chicago said they aren’t even sure if they’ll be getting them by the 4th and said it might be as late as the 8th

My store in AZ was given STRICT instructions that the Bold will not be sellable until the 4th. Hope this helps …but it probably doesn’t

I talked to reps from 4 locations in the Northern VA (near DC) area just before they closed shop for the night. The reports are the same as Cheesedawg’s: maybe the 4th, maybe mid-month. I’ll check a few more in DC tomorrow when they open.

P.S. The back battery cover is the biggest abomination in the history of phone aesthetics. Might wanna pre order a different one while you’re waiting. P.P.S My store got 10 Bolds in stock for the launch, and I’m told we’ll receive 10 a day for the first week. Stupid.

The iphone is completely overrated. I bought two, waited and waited for apple to do something cool with it. … still waiting. I’m going for a bold because it’s best combination for real world performance, and touch screens get old. I had one for about a year and I really do miss a dedicated keypad. If i decide not to get the bold, my next choice would be the htc touch pro, which blows just about everything out of the water. Including the “OH SO overrated” storm.

Why’s the Storm overrated? It’s not even out yet. I played with it at the Storm Launch event and it was buggy as shit. Still, if they fix all those bugs, it should be a great phone.
The Bold looks amazing. I gotta play with one of these when they hit stores.

It’s overrated because it’s all giz and boy seem to talk about these days. I mean, it should be a nice device but it’s too little to late for me personally. It is what it is, blackberry’s attempt to claim some of the iphone hype, which is no longer hype. ha
