Skyfire launches in Canada, customized “Canadian” homepage
There’s no doubt about it — we’re big Skyfire fans over here. While we’ve begged them to make a BlackBerry version, something they said they are actually in the process of looking at, expanding their market share in other countries isn’t such a bad thing is it? Some of you sneaky readers have managed to scam the system, but for everyone else, Canada’s now an officially supported country. So, hit the link, get your Canadian browsing on, and make sure to hit Skyfire up on Twitter so you can give them some feedback on what you’d like to be included in a future release of Skyfire.

I really like skyfire on my e71 but the only problem im having is that while surfing, the browser heats up my phone like crazy. Around the keyboard predominantly on the lower right side gets really hot when i surf for about an hour or so. U begin to feel the heat after 10 minutes. And…i can’t download the 0.8 version. It’s only allowing me to download 0.61. But aside from that, it’s pretty cool. Youtube doesn’t work properly on it but it works great on my stock e71 browser. But u can’t really compare loading times. Skyfire is brilliant compare to any other browser i’ve ever used on a mobile device.

This isn’t to bad. It plays flash which is nice, and it’s nice to see i can view a desktop site somewhat nicely on my Jack in case I need to view one.
I am use to my htc cruise and new opera, but recently retired that and just use the jack backup, and something was missing, but this temporarliy fills that hole.
I wouldn’t use it as a my “full time” browser because it’s a memory hog and a little slow in some areas, but really really great for “problem” websites and what not.
