AT&T BlackBerry Bolds in stock at Best Buy, go on sale tomorrow?

We’ve got a bunch of tips on this so we’re going to run with it. Just a word of caution? We haven’t confirmed this ourselves yet, but we have ever reason to believe our ever-faithful tipsters. If they are correct, various Best Buy locations have already started receiving shipments of AT&T BlackBerry Bolds and they are allowed to start selling them tomorrow. We even heard demo models are out on the floor at some stores. Now for pricing… We’re told the Bolds are going for $349 with a 2-year agreement at Best Buy (?) and that the full retail pricing is $679.99. Some stores will only sell them at no-commitment pricing it seems. If you’re in the tri-state area, chances are you’re feeling some pretty heavy winds, but that’s not going to hold you back from setting up shop at your local Best Buy and braving it out until the morning is it?

Thanks, to everyone who hit us up!

I don’t think they will give 20% off on this like iphone but if they do then $320 won’t be bad.

If its 400, then with the 20% Reward membership, the total is still around 315. You pay a little extra to get it a week early.

I WAS in fact at Best Buy last evening; and saw the Bbold Demo (mock-up) up close and personal. The manager was firm. “The Bolds go up for sale Sunday, 11.02.008 (Maybe midnight of that date. That’s TBA. No pricing was mentioned. But at 349. and change, it is a rip. AT&T is offering them for 299/w service – So wait til the 4th! (BTW, AT&T set my ‘unbranded’ Bold up for FREE. way to go AT&T!) When get my grubby hands on the RIMs 9500, AT&T will be my carrier. Stick that….VeriShun!

This is crazy, why would they charge $299 for this phone? As much as I love blackberry, $299 is so not worth it, especially in the current environment. Might as well short RIMM and buy the device from the gains.

… No Bolds in Boston – South Bay, Back Bay, Landmark, Cambridge Side, Salem NH… All out of stock. The associate said they get their trucks (Cambridgeside) on Wednesday. So I guess it’s dependant upon when each stoe gets it’s shipments?

Ok, here it is… If you go to one of those political rallies ask the candidate:

“What would YOU do about releasing the BlackBerry Bold by the end of your first term?”

Isn’t it interesting that AT&T is going to charge US customers $300 for the Bold, when T-Mo Germany is offering it at the equivalent of about $165?

Surely AT&T will start selling Bolds now that Best Buy is selling them.

Why would AT&T allow other outlets to sell Bolds at higher prices and prevent their own corporate stores from making the sales? What are the corporate people at AT&T thinking? Something tells me this will get sorted out early next week.

One more wrinkle in the most botched up product release ever!

None of the three Best Buys in the Louisville area has a Bold in stock, but dummies are out on display. I hope it feels better in my hand when it is not a dummie. Anyway, an upgrade was going to cost me $359 with a new line price of $299.

    @ joe s

No. You will not get charged an extra $10. The reason why the 2g iphone data went from $20 to $30 is because AT&T was putting the iphone 3g inline with the rest of their pdas and all pdas have data plans at $30
