Move over netbooks, IMOVIO is comin’ through
If netbooks weren’t getting small enough for you, or you were disappointed you couldn’t put a computer into your pocket, IMOVIO has the solution for your woes. Judging by those photos, it looks more like a novelty item that will hold your bubble gum, but the IMOVIO actually has some pretty decent features. First, you can connect to the internet via Wi-Fi or tether your phone as a modem via Bluetooth. It has a built-in webcam and it does all your typical browsing, email, and IM with the convenience of a QWERTY keyboard. Why someone would pick this up instead of a netbook or Internet tablet, we have no clue… oh yeah, it only costs $175 and is based off Linux. Even then, is it really worth it?

this is good for people who
1) just got locked into a 2 year contract with a phone that doesn’t have a full browser on it
2) can’t afford to pay the extra for internet on the phone every month
3) doesn’t have wifi on their phone
i personally am due for a new phone but am waiting (rather impatiently) for a decent wifi phone to come out for verizon because i don’t wanna pay for the internet and am usually in a hotspot

Maybe it isn’t bad if you go travelling, but it’s perhaps a little too small even for that.
You might as well get a phone with QWERTY, WiFi and Bluetooth. Then again, such phone is not $175.

Welcome to the Sony CliƩ UX50 circa 2003. Except it originally cost over $400 back in the day. :o)

100 bucks - maybe. But like it’s been stated before…
My phones do the same thing and more. I currently have an iPhone - I don’t have a need for this. I had a Q9h - the browser would be nice, but other than that - the Q did more.
It’s behind. I’ll pay the extra hundred fifty and go to a EEE

As a recent purchaser of my second Psion Revo (10 years old) for simply using as a diary and contact list this is a return to the past. For those of us that don’t use an earpiece in our PDAs this is the GO!!!!!!!

I’d buy possibly depending on the screen quality, battery and boot time. I’d be great if it were instant on and you could just throw it in your back pack and whip it out real quick when your in a hotspot.
