sweetness! I saw the 8.9″ and 10″ Eee PC’s at best buy this weekend and though the keyboard on the 8.9″ was difficult to use for touch typing, the 10″ seemed fine. Look like decent little machines so I doubt the S101 will be much different.

I compared it to the MacBook Air because that is generally regarded as apple’s take on the netbook (or at least the closest it has) and apple is known for its aesthetics which is what the S101 is trying to bring to the drab and boring netbook market. Sony has come out and said they are not interested in the netbook market (at least for now) so I did not consider any of their offerings.

Also anyone that follows netbooks knows that most netbook makers offer both linux and winXp versions now. The Asus Eee PC is most famous for being the champion of the linux netbook and the first one to bring it to the mass market. Six months after their first Xandros netbook hit the market, they then introduced some models with XP.

aahahaha redsoxh8r4life you’re probably my favorite blogger right now lol…if they’d won this series I would’ve gone crazy…anyway back to the subject at hand. Again, the standard is not the macbook…it’s the Vaio so BGR needs to stop with this nonsense…and if it is linux based why does it have an XP tag on the front?

Very interesting…so what are the specs of this little jewel?
I’m sure no DVD drive comes with it but what’s on the inside matters the most to me.
