And we have lift off: AT&T Bold launches on the 27th
This is for real, kids. Information has been pouring in left, right, and center from AT&T and RIM ninjas and we can now say for sure that AT&T is planning to launch the Bold on October 27. We repeat, October 27! You know, unless something goes “wrong” with the Bold in the eyes of AT&T and there is another delay… There’s plenty of other info on the internal email seen above so if the Bold isn’t your bag, check out full details on the rest of AT&T’s upcoming lineup. Anyway, it’s about frickin’ time, AT&T. Now that the date is nice and solid, we’ll just leave you with these internal AT&T training slides for the Bold.

Guys its no just going to come out and suprise everyone.. They are gonna have an offical release date so they can build at least a little hype if any about the phone.. It doesnt make sense to basicly NOT tell anyone about the relase date a couple days befor it comes out.
Yes, good point, but I don’t agree with it. AT&T constantly releases new phones that I’m often times surprised by, so call me the ultimate optimist, and I AM an optimist in general, we’ll see that baby in now five to six days.
I was just told by our account rep that the Oct 27th date will not hold and has been pushed back to early November. I believe the first part of that sentence and I think the second part was a bit ad-libbed. I can’t say for sure whether early November is actually being targeted or whether my rep was just stating the obvious that early November does indeed follow late October.
I call BS.
In case you’re calling BS on my post, I just want to clarify the fact that I have no reason to make any of this up. I’m currently using a LG-VX5200 (read: POS) until the Bold comes out. I want the release to happen as badly as anyone. I’m just relaying what our business contact told me in our conversation today. Although your blind optimism may prove to be correct on this one, I’m betting heavily against it. If you look at the facts, it REALLY doesn’t look as though they’re going to make Oct 27. I don’t claim to know anything personally, I’m just relaying a conversation that I had with someone who might.

I dont think anyone was calling BS on you buddy, i think EVERYONE is calling BS on the 27th date. Let’s face it, the release of this phone will be a secret until ATT finally grows a set and adresses the public. We can pass around these nice October rumors to comfort our inner toddler that is screaming, “I WANT IT NOW!”, but we will not know a damn thing until ATT wants to let us out of the dark.

It WILL be released on the 27th… Blackberry/AT&T just had the big blackberry Bold launch party. They don’t do that unless they are launching a phone… also, if you are blaming at&t for the delay i would like to explain that at&t tests there devices more extensivly than any other provider. the Bold had issues. that is the only reason it didnt come out… Providers in other countries have pulled it off the shelves because they launched it early and it was glitchy. At&t doesnt want to do that to their customers. By the way, aside from the camera the new Samsung Epix blows the bold away… and I’m a blackberry user.

no one is blaming ATT for fixing the fucking phones. Just how about letting customers know what exactly is going on.
How about they launch the BOLD already and there will be no more anger floating around….LOL
@AT&TREP: is this some new policy after the problems with *ahem* another recently-released 3G device that did, in fact, launch with issues, glitchy software, etc? Did AT&T “do that” to their customers up until that point?
While the delay of the BOLD isn’t AT&T’s fault to say that ATT test there phone more than any provider is crazy. ATT is consistently rank at or near the bottom of the 4 major providers(check J.D.power or consumer reports).
That being said, the date given by Boy genius is totally made up. I predict that by Thurs (10/23) BGR will be again reporting that the BOLD has once again been “delayed”.I honestly think that BGR just randomly picks dates at 2 week intervals to drum up site traffic. You will know that one of his dates are correct when someone else independently corroborates his release date
Let’s see, October 27th, is that your final answer? (Of course not.) I still don’t know what’s taking RIM so long to release the bold. All they have to do is box them up and ship them to AT&T and T-Mobile stores. It’s that simple. So easy, a caveman could do it. (LOL)
Just talked with my firms ATT rep and he confirmed October 27 is a go date! It’s about time…..
I was told that the 27th was the day that the bold can be ordered/shipped. The day you can buy it is still on Nov. 4th.
you heard nothing! No one knows anything…some ATT sores in NYC just got SKU’s in their system…they have no product, and no price…There was an ATT bold for sale on ebay, and due to some super sleuthing we were able to figure out a bunch of shit using that SKU…………………….I will tell you animals nothing because i dont want to be one of these fucking losers who put up incorrect dates……..but it looks like those of you who still want this phone WILL be getting it sooner than you think.

Oh yeh and…suck on deeeeez BGR…Crackberry is the only reliable place to get information on Blackberrys (Your pretty solid on some other shit)…Neworking with real intelligent people and solving problems…not a bunch of doctored images posted followed by a bunch fucking morons who dont know their ass from a hole in the ground.

I had training on the 20th and when i walked in guess what i saw… a blackberry bold. It was in my hand we demoed them, trained with them, and used them just fine. Att Branded and ready to rock and roll. Now, the trainer did state that they were hot off the shelf directly from rim (he/she had just received them 2 days prior). So basically the only reason why im sharing this information is that it seems VERY VERY likely that the device could be launching in the immediate future.. ie 10/27.. so no real point in making a fuss til after that

The population of this board and others like it are tiny. There are millions out there who know nothing about the Bold and won’t until they see the shiny object on their TV or in other advertising. Then, they’ll run out and buy it.

can anyone confirm this?
