March to a different beat with Alltel’s LG Rhythm

Alltel customers who prefer music phones to smartphones have another phone to drool over starting Thursday as Alltel has officially added the LG Rhythm to its repertoire. The aptly named music phone incorporates Digital Signal Processing as well as a graphic equalizer professionally tweaked by audiophile extraordinaire Mark Levinson. Whether you prefer a public or a private performance, the Rhythm has you covered with both an internal FM transmitter and a 3.5 mm stereo headset with a microphone that can toggle easily between music and phone calls. That’s not all for you music folks, LG included a mechanical wheel with a center touchscreen and a dedicated music hot key. Other non-music features of the phone include:
- 2-inch QVGA display
- 1.3 megapixel camera with zoom and camcorder
- Bluetooth 2.0 capabilities
- microSD supporting up to 16 GB
The LG Rhythm sports a white or black coat of paint and is available both online and in stores for $119.99
after $50 mail-in-rebate and a two-year service agreement.

Old, but funny Alltel got the real Chocolate 3 and Verizon got a crappy flip phone.
I’d say Verizon probably knows more about the Chocolate 2 sales than we do.
There’s probably a very good reason they went flip.
so THIS is were the LG chocolate 3 really landed. I saw this branded for VZW a while back from LG, but because of the issues VZW had with the prior chocolates they told them to shove that slider crap(Venus included) and build something that doesn’t break first.
the “chocolate” line of sliders for Verizon have been a HUGE issue with build quality, so they went flip with a different feel and build. and so far have had no issues. Alltel on the other hand saw the chance to grab up Verizon’s scrap(much like the 8600). it will sell, will it be crap like the other 2 versions of the slider chocolate? I would hope Lg had figured that out by now, but who knows.
alltel always willingly takes the crap phones.
according to howardforums.com though, they are getting the htc diamond and pro within the next month
This phone is amazing!
I have it, and no problems at all.
If your alltel and don’t know which phone to get, go with the rythm.
I’ve had 6 phone.
And this is by far the best!!!!
I’ve had it for about 7 monthes now.
