HTC G1 already shipping, many to be delivered by Friday
T-Mobile customers, we hope you’re ready for some solid Android love. Word on the street is that Santa will be showing up a bit early for many people who pre-ordered the HTC G1. In fact, several people have reported their handsets have already shipped and are scheduled for delivery this Friday, the 17th. In other words, a full five days ahead of the scheduled delivery date. In this day and age that’s almost unheard of so we have to nod our heads to T-Mobile on a job well done. If you pre-ordered a G1, hit the UPS site ASAP and let us know if yours is on its way. For everyone else, we’re getting pretty close to go time so don’t despair.

Just logged on to UPS, says: Billing information has been sent to UPS. Check site later for updated shipment status or contact shipper for more details.

i just checked it, receiving it on tuesday.
I checked the UPS.com website. It says mine was shipped/billed on 10/14/2008. But it only says billing info received. It has said that since I first checked it on Oct. 15th. My order information has not changed to say if it has been shipped or not. Guess I can only wait and see.

Mine is finally billing info received and I ordered on Sept 22 as well.
Wanted to let everyone know that if you are thinking about picking one up at a local t-mo on launch day be aware.
I spoke with the t-mo rep here in Savannah, GA (and got to play with their demo G1) and he says that markets where they currently don’t have 3G service will not receive the phones till mid November.
How do you know you will receive yours on the 17th?? Mine just says, Billing Info Received… and I ordered mine on Sept 25..
Just checked UPS and its schedule to deliver 10/21/08.

T mobile has instructed ups to reschedule all shipment on 10/21/08 even they have arrived at the local ups depot.

mine is already in my local ups depot as of 7:01pm tonight. It could easily be deliver to my house on monday, but no, they want to reschedule the delivery until tuesday.
Same thing as Hector and all others.
I am annoyed with T-Mobile on this one. Shouldn’t people who pre-order their phone on the very day of September 23rd be the first ones to get their hands on the G1??? I ordered on the 23rd and UPS website shows mine was rescheduled (don’t know what that means, since I did not have any other schedule date) to be delivered on the 21st. It has billing/shipped date of 10/16… I have the feeling that they were going to send me the phone at a much later date, but since I sent them a message through their costumer support online inquiring about my order on 10/15, they rushed it the next day. I mean, come on people!! I want to feel that they are really rewarding long time costumers like me that did not wait read reviews and “experts” opinion on the phone to place their order. Damn it!

I just check the UPS site, and I have a scheduled date for Monday Oct 20th. I am looking at the ups site every 10min. lol.
i have a rescheduled date of 10/20/08 but it never has said when my device will be delivered. not sure if it’s the same thing or not? any ideas?
I had the rescheduled delivery date of 10/21/2008 like many of you and checked UPS about 10 minutes ago. Showed it left San Pablo last night (im in Sacramento) and was in route….
It was delivered about 30 seconds ago to my door!!! =) Still shows in route via UPS.

I’m back…..how many of you guys got the wrong wall charger?? I did. I called customer service and they’re saying they’ve got several calls already with the same issue. I still can charge it with USB cable connected to pc.
this is what customer service told me: since tomorrow is the launch day, I can go to any T-Mobile store and switch out the wall charger. Now, how is this going to happen if every sore is getting limited quantity. I just called a couple of stores and they’re saying they are not getting too many phones, plus, they are not getting extra chargers since it is a new phone. We’ll see what’s going to happen tomorrow.
