HTC G1 already shipping, many to be delivered by Friday
T-Mobile customers, we hope you’re ready for some solid Android love. Word on the street is that Santa will be showing up a bit early for many people who pre-ordered the HTC G1. In fact, several people have reported their handsets have already shipped and are scheduled for delivery this Friday, the 17th. In other words, a full five days ahead of the scheduled delivery date. In this day and age that’s almost unheard of so we have to nod our heads to T-Mobile on a job well done. If you pre-ordered a G1, hit the UPS site ASAP and let us know if yours is on its way. For everyone else, we’re getting pretty close to go time so don’t despair.

i ordered mine on Sept 23rd at 1pm. But as of today mine was set to back order….. Seems ODD
Where did you get your shipping info, did t-mobile tex it to you?
can anyone read? 19 ppl asked the same exact question. that is why customer care is clogged….
Does anyone know where the shipping center is or how T-Mo has set their shipment priority?

Just enter your ten digit phone number with dashes, like 555-555-5555, in the “Shipment Reference” field.
I highly doubt anyone will get it this week. UPS “tracking info” usually gets updated after 5:30pm EST. “billing info received” just means its been scheduled for pickup from ups to their facilities. Ive been in shipping forever trust me i know. I bet that most folks tracking status has been changed to “rescheduled” now that its past 530. Most of you will get your package on the 22nd, maybe a day earlier like tmobile stated , just deal with it lol.

@Hooah if u been in the shipped business then u should know…when it shows that means it was already picked up by ups and is on its way to the person. Just UPS takes forever to update their website sometimes….thats time it showed that screen when i upgraded my sidekick and i ended up getting the phone the next day and ups finally updated the status…

My shipping info is that it was shipped today at 8:30PM, with Ground (Not 3-day) shipping, and a “rescheduled delivery date” of 10/21. What does that mean?
That’s false. Billing Info Received means exactly that, and that the status the moment a tracking # is assigned. “In Transit” indicates that it’s in the possession of UPS. Cheers!
@Felicia..Its partly correct. It depends on how tmobile “networks’ with UPS. Assuming its freight,a tractor-trailer will be picking up pallets of G1’s and then taking them to the nearest UPS hub for further sorting and distributing across the whole country. I highly doubt these phones are being shipped out of multiple locations. Considering this is a Phone launch, its most likely a controlled ship based on the geographic location of customers. I can imagine there will be a pickup tomorrow, as well as friday and maybe saturday.
And like I stated before, I highly doubt someone will receive a phone this week. Possibility of monday but I would be surprised. People should just wait for tues & wed

I did receive my phone today. I received the Bronze model which actually looks nicer than the black.
If you live in the Denver metro area you should have gotten your phone today.
The only thing that I don’t like so far is the keyboard in the daylight.

@Hooah…yeah what u said makes complete since…usually by the middle of the day the status changes and shows you where the phone is…but as im reading on BGR and tmonews.com everyone’s tracking says the same thing that billing info was received on 10/14

just to let you guys know, you will not find your tracking number or info unless you live in California, Oregon or Washington since they wanted to ship out to the West coast first because they are the furthest from were they are shipping

Not necessarily true. My pre-order shipped and I’m in NY… delivery for Monday. Looks like T-Mobile jumped in and halted some of the UPS orders to delay them until Monday.
Keyboard in the daylight…? How could that be an issue?

I checked mine last night on UPS but no information was found. this morning i checked again with my phone # as reference and now it shows tracking number with delivery date of Oct. 22. I ordered mine on Sep. 27.
