HTC G1 already shipping, many to be delivered by Friday
T-Mobile customers, we hope you’re ready for some solid Android love. Word on the street is that Santa will be showing up a bit early for many people who pre-ordered the HTC G1. In fact, several people have reported their handsets have already shipped and are scheduled for delivery this Friday, the 17th. In other words, a full five days ahead of the scheduled delivery date. In this day and age that’s almost unheard of so we have to nod our heads to T-Mobile on a job well done. If you pre-ordered a G1, hit the UPS site ASAP and let us know if yours is on its way. For everyone else, we’re getting pretty close to go time so don’t despair.

I must admit tmobile hands has the best customer service. If they received the lastest and coolest phones like this one….would we talk about att,sprint and um oh yea verizon. I doubt it. Anyways the phone is cool. I just HATE the design. Wish is was more like the touch, but hey good job tmobile..
I checked and it showed that UPS received the billing information.
I expect to receive it either on Friday or Monday.
Mine isn’t on the way yet. No surprise though. As long as it gets here on the 22nd, I’ll be fine. At least I got to see one in the T-Mobile store yesterday.

Mine shows as billed/shipped on the 14th, with 3-day select shipping. Sweet!
I called t-mo and mine hasn’t shipped yet. The rep I spoke insisted now would ship before launch day. Guess she doesn’t know much
I went to a TMO store yesterday to check out the BB flip, and after talking to one of the store clerks, he pulled out his G1 to try to get me to switch to TMO for this phone. I got to play around with it for a bit, very cool. He also put me on a reservation list where he’d try to hold one for me. So if any of you guys weren’t able to get in on an early pre-order, try to get buddy buddy with one of the reps.
I’m a T-Mobile retail sales rep, and I ordered mine on Monday. It shipped out Monday evening, and I just checked my tracking, and my G1 is already delivered! I had it sent to my store, so I’ll have mine in my hands in about an hour when I go into work. YAY!
To those of you who are waiting … hang in there! This launch is going to be HUGE, and it’s *almost* here!

I’m in Los Angeles. I’m really hoping to get it on Friday or Saturday (if they deliver on Saturday).
T- mo says mines is on back order and I ordered it on the 23rd

I’m A TMO Rep and they let us order ours on Monday Oct 13, I’m gonna get mine by thurs, UPS has confirmed. HELL YEA!!
I spoke with T-Mobile they have know answers they say they have not sent any early shipments,but there not even sure when we will get the phones. I think pre-ordering was a mistake cause she also said i could get it after the 22nd,thats smart you pre-order a phone an you get it a week after the release date.
I wasn’t sure how to check my pre-order, so I called TMo, and this is what they told me:
To check your info on UPS’s website, go to tracking and enter your phone # in the standard format:

Im actually demoing one right now and I have been using the G1 for a couple days now and i love it!
Just checked out UPS and my handset is set for a Friday delivery! woohoo T-Mob!

Do you think there will be a line in front of the T-Mo stores on the 22nd? I want this phone, but I’m not wild about the idea of camping out to get one.

I read your post, but I was hoping there was another way. I have 9 lines on T-mobile and because I didn’t use my primary line to order the phone, it doesn’t have a phone number tracking number. T-mo told me that there is a generic tracking number for my package, however, it is automatically generated and they don’t have access to it.
How are all of you guys checking ups? I wasn’t given a tracking number or anything.
I pre-ordered mine on the 27th i think.
Im in NY too….so maybe it will take longer.

I would call TMo back and ask for your order reference number – I was assigned one of these as well; mine is 9 numbers in length. Good luck, hope it works out.
The first shipment is probably for states that are farthest away from the shipping center. Most people who have tracking info are from the west coast.
