Even funnier is your notion that in a capitalistic world you need an original thought or idea. If you believe that then why don’t you move to Russia because with that ideology I can see why you would hate Microsoft and make these dumb ass comments. I’ve learned to chalk it up to the fact that most people are ignorant, clueless, but boy, do they all have opinions, opinions that are based on either nothing or regurgitated shit they read on the net…often times both. This is also why we have (s)elected, and re-elected George W. Bush.

I have the Apple iPhone 3G. It cannot even run AIM as a background service. Mac OS X will be defeated by another Windows 7…Windows Mobile 7.

Damian you’re an even bigger dumbass…how is the big dog chasing the little poodle who’s biggest cash cow is not even in computers but in mp3 players? Be realistic…Microsoft could care less about Apple…they even make money of every single MAC sold so what the hell are you talking about? And Vista, in terms of usability, customization and speed is way better anything Apple makes, which is in-house and they all look the same.

im throwning in my two cents here, i agree with Tyrone D vista has been running a lot smoother since SP1 came out, trying to play Lineage on windows xp was horrible but my buddy said to load vista and the game runs way smoother now. im running home basic on my custom built game rig, now from what i understand, windows 7 is still based off of vista.

You’re a dumbass. You definitely have never used Vista. You’re caught up in the hype of bashing Vista because that’s what you read online. Also, you’re definitely not a technical person or have read anything at all about Windows 7 because if you had, you would know that Windows 7 is actually going to be a blend of Windows Vista SP1 and Windows Server 2008 – which have received great reviews! In the IT world, we’re looking at Windows 7 as Windows Vista R2 because it’s going to be based on the same kernel. I hope you learned something new today. Please, STFU! You don’t know shit about Microsoft or Apple’s history. Do yourself a favor, use Google to learn the history of both Apple and Microsoft first, and than you can base an opinion.

@People that just don’t know shit about Windows Vista and Windows 7

You know what really irritates me the most? It’s the dumbass people that have never used Vista, barely used it, and not too technical savvy to use the Windows OS, but all of these types of people love to complain based on what they hear from other dumbass people like themselves.

I’ve been using Windows since the DOS days so I KNOW Windows very well. I’ve also beta tested all of their OS’es – not every build, but the most important ones that would resolve issues related to my machine. Windows XP was probably the most successful OS from Microsoft (to date) AFTER Service Pack 2 was released for it; it was somewhat bad before then. SP3 really didn’t bring too much to the table except a few background changes, which were welcomed.

Windows Vista was definitely not a solid OS when released but I still used the beta versions up until now, SP1. I have the 32-bit Ultimate on my laptop, which runs smooth like butter. And recently I built a new machine with the latest and greatest parts, running 64-bit Ultimate – my machine is a monster! I have thrown the most graphic intensive game at it – Crysis at Very High settings and Vista has not failed me once! DirectX 10.1 is just amazing! It’s been a rock solid system; l actually get to use all 4GB of memory (will be upgrading to 8GB soon). Every task you can think of, is quicker.

Gaming performance was shit on Vista before SP1 but now, it would be hard for a person to guess if I were gaming in Vista or XP if I was already playing a game. Don’t believe me? Here is an article with testing data – http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,2845,2303830,00.asp

Apple OS will NEVER become a strong gaming platform because even with the recent so called “refresh” or “update” to the laptop line, it won’t deliver the performance of an Alienware Area-51 laptop. Nor do I see developers pushing out games for the Apple OS anytime soon; I believe there are only around 300 to 350 games for the Apple OS platform, which is nothing compared to the PC market. I had a MacBook Pro and it ran XP and Vista just fine but it did not provide the performance I get from my current Windows laptop – Dell XPS M1530. I loved using both Windows and OS X, but I realized that I was doing different things in both OS’es. Hardly ever the same tasks but I was spending more time in Windows so I realized that the Apple platform was not for me. Although I still recommend it to my friends that just want to do day to day stuff and mostly multimedia – music, pictures and videos.

I don’t hate Apple or Microsoft, nor do I love one more than the other, but I believe the OS choices are based on our lifestyle and the applications we utilize on a daily basis. Apple has done a magnificent job of providing a great platform for multimedia, which covers students, businesses (design firms) and artists of many types, but definitely not gaming. Microsoft is also focused on these things, but, with a great emphasis on providing a superb gaming platform which ties to their XBOX Live Services.

So, before you go on bashing me (which is likely to happen) or Microsoft or Apple, think about how the OS is going to affect you, and only you; maybe your family. Don’t get caught up in the stupid bash-a-thon’s because that’s not your own opinion.

Can’t they come out with Windows ‘1.0′? How long can they keep tossing code on top of code already used? Didn’t they get the hint when many people were switching back to XP, even with all the faults XP had/has? While I think Vista is one of their more stable OS’s, how much further can they go without killing the hardware and blowing up the processor? My MAC Book Pro runs so much harder in Vista when using boot camp.
