Sprint Blackberry Curve 8350i sign-up page goes live
All you Sprint iDEN users that are clinging to your aging Blackberry 7100i may want to head over to Sprint’s website and sign up to receive availability information on the upcoming Sprint Blackberry Curve 8350i. Be realistic. Duct tape, super glue, and a boat load of batteries can only go so far to keep a dying phone alive. The new Blackberry Curve 8350i offers Wi-Fi, GPS, and iDEN-based push to talk in a semi-rugged BlackBerry Curve casing. Sounds nice doesn’t it? All you guys (or gals) that like to drag your phone in the dirt, drop it off a platform, or get it wet on occasion, need not apply as the 8350i doesn’t meet military standards for dust, shock, or water. This is still a Blackberry, not a Sonim.

People still use Sprint?
This doesn’t work. I’ve signed up a few times and still haven’t heard a word.
KELLY…its been live since like 9-12 they’ve changed the pic on it 3 times…..but you being the iPhone fanboy you are wouldn’t have known that now would you???
I thought the iden network was on its way out. so for the wed is it going to use nextels web or the sprint web.
Radar, your trolling for comments is pathetic. She physically incapable of being a iPhone fanboy. come up with another insult, all BG people report on a variety of things, not just apple.
lol….I am not an Apple fanboy. Dont own an iPhone or any other Apple product for that matter. Wont even install quicktime on my computer!
Blackberry is my phone of choice right now having gone from the Pearl to the Curve to the Dare and then back to the curve; with a few WinMo phones thrown in there, too. All on VZW, baby.
well if you are such a BB fan…you would have known from MANY MANY other sites that this went live on 9-12. Blackberry.com even had a hot link to it as early as 9-15. Wanna impress me??? Find out the release date. It would be a HUGE scoop for you guys and prove your value…since the news on the 3850i is a month old. CNET had a video of the handset on 9-13 also.
I do agree with the comment C’Mon this news is old but wouldn’t get into an argument. Anyhow the new Nextel BB is supposed to be only a Nextel that’s why it had the ” i ” on the end of the model or could have it at the beginning. Well I have the Motorola Deluxe ic902 very simple guy i=iden c=cdma kaaazaaaam we have EVDO sorry to say ” i ” by it self equals a slower connection, but don’t be disappointed well you have Wi-Fi and some of you wouldn’t pay for the data pack well that solves the issue besides this BB 8350i is better than NOTHING..OK and about the Sprint updates they do work its just that the other phones have not been launched that’s why there is only one that was launched and people were notified it was the Touch Diamond by HTC your not going to be notified a month in advanced don’t be silly maybe less than a week if not the same day its officially released. FRKRE.
@y’all
to tell you the truth..I saw that we had not written anything recent about this phone. It was in that leaked roadmap back in august and that was it. I wrote it up as a tongue-in-cheek follow-up for those who may still be interested in an iDen PTT talk blackberry.
iDen PTT blackberry, that is.
Why does anyone even comment if all you’re going to do is bitch and moan about everything. Think you can do better, start your own news site. These people take the time, provide resources (yes, your page view and comment does actually cost someone money, and do not charge anyone to view the site. Grow up because your acting like a child.
I wasn’t bitching, I was raising a point that in 30 seconds on Google and checking the official blackberry site I found out more in less than a minute. I just question how someone who’s job it is to be aware of these things isn’t, especially if they are a Blackberry fan/user. CTIA had it on display on 9-10 Sprint went live 9-12 and CNET had a video of the phone. So…if BGR had the leaked roadmap in August…why not do a little follow up before a whole month after CTIA?? I just find it a little odd that every day I check this site theres more Apple and G1 stuff than there is for other devices and companies. I was stating my opinion.
Also…for a site that isn’t full of Apple fanboys…and girls explain why theres 140 Apple topics 85 iPhone topics and 83 Blackberry topics….I got those numbers from the tag cloud to the right.Sounds to me like BGR be Apple biased…but I could be worng.
Then stop visiting the site ya douchebag.
BTW, why is it that Kelly is always taking heat from one of you know-it-all dickwads?? Must be that some of you can’t get a girl to talk to you in real life, so you start attacking them on the internet, huh??
OK…there are way better sites with newer BB information anyway.
yes, i use sprint and nextel you loser SOB.

When Does this Phone 8350i becomes Available.
Not until mid Dec. Delayed I guess.
Fuck all of you people. Get a fucking real life.
When is this phone gonna get here?!?!?!?
My patience was thin in the third quarter…
The reason why you haven’t heard a word is because it has not been released yet. It is scheduled to become available Dec 15th.
