Samsung T919 for T-Mobile launching soon
Back in August, we told you about this pretty Samsung making its way to T-Mobile. Well, now there are release dates and pics galore! Apparently called the “Behold” rather than the “Tocco” (both ridiculous names, really), this 5 megapixel camera phone will be hitting T-Mobile on November 10. Word on the street is that the damage will be $149, but we’ve yet to confirm if that is post-rebate or not, but you can bet the attractive pricing is going to involve a contract. Also, here’s a quick reminder regarding some of the specs in case you forgot or were wondering what such a bargain phone could offer:
- 5 megapixel camera
- Front-facing secondary camera
- GPS WITH voice command
- Streaming video support
- Video ringtone support
- Capacitive touchscreen
- MicroSDHC support
- Brushed aluminum back
- Consumer email functionality
So far nothing has been solidified in carbonite yet, but for the most part this phone will be packing some serious features. How will it fare against the G1? Well, we really don’t need to tell you… hit the jump for more pics!

I would much prefer the Tocco over the Behold…at least that’s a legitimate model name already.
Would Samsung really still keep the front-facing camera? Is T-Mobile being the first to release video-calling in America, or are they going to include a vestigial feature?
Isn’t this phone missing Wi-fi? That’s the only drawback.
I think the front facing camera was removed from the us version
Unforunately I see no front facing camera.
Isn’t that little square on top of the screen the front camera?
No, that’s the earpiece.
Wow. Its about time they stepped their touchscreen game up!
Not only that but the Motozine is another 5MP shooter that T-Mobile will release in November with the price of $99.00 with contract (Free on Black Friday). Has Kodak photo software on-board and a Xenon flash.
I believe they did ditch the front facing camera. Those specs were from what we knew of the device before. Looks like the front camera (or light sensor) is gone…

Nice tmobile finally releasing some nice phones
Hopefully this will have tmo 3g. If so I might have myself a new phone.
This phone looks awsome would love to have as a back up for the G1 but this thing might take the G1 im waiting for place for the simple fact that it has a flash
3G?
Guy that posted this didn’t do his job. There’s no front facing camera.
@Bowser, I made the correction in my comment. Besides, we don’t know FOR SURE quite yet as previous images showed a spot where it could have been if it wasn’t a light sensor of some sort.
This phone looks great! Does anyone know if this phone will have the vibration feedback like some other touch screen phones?
Verizon and AT&T better watch out for us in the ‘09!!
Yes. This is an HSDPA 3G device.
There really isn’t a front facing camera.
WiFi?
It’s not an omnia, but I’ll take mine with or without the front facing cam, provided I can continue using my cheap ass t-zones data plan with the port blocking workaround proxy.
with WiFi, that would be hard to resist.
Wifi is not included with this device.
I REALLY CAN’T WAIT FOR THIS PHONE TOUCH COME OUT…I NEED A NEW PHONE AND THIS LOOKS BOUT RIITE LOL…. JAH
