HTC hits $1.2 billion in sales
HTC’s third quarter earnings are up 30% thanks to the crazy popularity of their Touch series devices. The only speedbump they hit is the 4.9% drop in profit due to shipment delays, but it doesn’t look like it’s hitting them too hard. The Touch-Diamond and Touch Pro has been receiving some pretty decent fanfare and interest in people who are looking to move to smartphones or switching from their current devices. The recent explosion in sales puts HTC right behind Nokia and RIM in terms of the largest makers of smartphones. Looks like HTC is on the up and up, especially with the manufacture of the new Treo Pro and the outrageously popular G1 on the horizon. T-Mobile didn’t anticipate the popularity of the device during its early pre-order stages and had to triple their inventory just to keep up. Job well done, HTC.

HTC devices suck
Thanks for that… Very insightful!

Screw you, HTC’s awesome. WinMo ain’t perfect, but its better than nothing.
Can’t wait for my G1.
@Joe,
thank you for the information. with such insight you should be a school professor or something like that.
Joe’s mom sucks. Swallows and blows.
@redsoxh8r4life: No, she didn’t, and that’s the problem.
I’ve been using HTC devices for a couple of years now, and I have to say – they’re usually among the top of their class. Bravo, HTC.
HTC could make even more money if they would send more phones stateside. Maybe something with “Touch HD” in the name? Just an idea.
i think htc designs r quite novel (unlike a certain korean copycat manufacturer), and they have some good ideas to spiff up the standard winmo sw. BUT, their quality (both sw and hw) arent quite up to snuff with the big boys yet … they should hire better testers.
Your mom is the top of her class
HTC is very innovative. Their TouchFLO, then TouchFLO 3D, then TouchFLO 2D bring much excitement to the Windows Mobile market. Well done. Keep up the good work.
HTC has always been the go to guys for handsets and I’m glad they’re doing so well. Hopefully they can come up with more innovations and bring them stateside.
HTC is the boss right now!
So is ATT picking up on the Touch Pro or what?
