Verizon BlackBerry Storm viral video

Remember that post we made about Verizon filming average people in public using the Storm and getting first-hand impressions? Well, we were right, and so was our tipster! Here’s the video which we just got our hands on. People are “touching” the Storm and saying “oooh” and “ahhhh”. Though there were a couple iPhone mentions… Just remember they were all paid $20 each for their “appearances”. Thoughts?

Thanks, Harris!

I don’t know….the whole click thing just doesn’t seem to make sense. You are still adding a step …”touch & Click” instead of touch OR click. Meaning a regular keyboard you click, and a regular Touch screen you just touch.

I concur Kevin…Matt the retail price would probably be at around $549, with it being around $199 with a 2-year contract. At least now people can stop telling the guy who brought the tip about using it in the mallt hat he was lying. Seeing is believing huh.

I for one hope T-mobile doesn’t do these kind of “viral” videos or overhype the G1. There is a danger of putting customer expectations too high, and right now Android doesn’t need that, being a new platform.

Of course if the Storm can meet these expectations then no problem. Seems like the BB fanboys are here in full force at BGR.

The phone looks great. I just wish that slingbox would make a blackberry app that way I could actually consider this phone.

Hey, if you have a my verizon account online to view your bill (its free) and your calling plan is $79.99 or higher, then you qualify for annual upgrade, meaning you can upgrade every 12 months instead of every 20 months.

still no pricing though, i actually have a couple friends who are managers at verizon stores, and they said they got a message that this phone will probably be sold at around 500 -600$ if your upgrading then 100$ off that price.
