October / November Best Buy Mobile release schedule shows Storm, Bold, Pearl Flip and more

When our ninjas dig, they dig deeeeep. One of our anonymous sleuths managed to uncover a relatively old slide from a Best Buy Mobile PowerPoint draft deck outlining a release schedule with quite a few gems on it. We’ve got all the top carriers covered here to some extent, so let’s have a look:
Coming October 26th:
- Sprint - Samsung M540 “Rant”, available in black, purple and red
- Sprint - HTC Touch Pro
- Verizon - Blitz
- AT&T - BlackBerry Bold 9000 (date obscured on image)
- T-Mobile - BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220
Coming November 16th:
- Verizon - BlackBerry Storm
Barring any major changes (or delays, as we’ll likely see at least with the Bold), Best Buy Mobile has quite a line up coming later this month.
Tags: Best Buy, BlackBerry, bold, Motorola, pearl flip, RIM, Samsung, storm

Oct 26th for the Blitz? That’s funny. It def came out last month. I’ve already sold some.

If its true that BB will get the ’storm’ on the 16th, then most probably VZ stores will get it sooner making the Nov.2-4 rumored release date very promising.

Bold coming out this month? why is this obscured…sheh. That’s the only phone I got my eyes on for now.
Oh well, some people are having problems reported on the new .162 version out there. The firmware releases till this day are kinda shakey, some people are happy with the old firmwares, others are happy with the new ones. I guess this month will give em some time to fix that issue…no rush no rush…

I’ve already forgotten the Bold. Sprang for the Nokia E71 last week and am in love with it. The Bold is just another Blackberry to me. Its luster has come and gone.

God I hope this isn’t true because I really don’t want to wait until the 16th to get this phone. Hopefully they just won’t get to Best Buy until Nov 16th, but will be released at the VZW store much earlier. Oct 26 sounds good to me.

So the Bold’s date “conveniently” is hidden behind the device and the Storm picture is the fake mockup that was first published.
Gonna raise the BS flag on this.

I also think this is BS. I have worked for BBYM for over a year and we have NEVER gotten a little PDF looking image like this with information, we always have to look in RSS.
And why would the professionals who work at Best Buy put the release date of the bold behind the image.

Why would any one put this farce document up here? Weird how some carriers are written in a bold font and others are not. Funny how some phone’s in the image have shadows, and some do not. I find it also funny that one phone has a perfectly square red background behind it…Not only is this a copy and paste job, but probably one of the worst ones I have ever seen. Whoever sent this in, please do us all a favor and stop playing with paint at work, shouldn’t you be getting your boss coffee or something?

I sent in this image and I guarantee you that this is legit, from a BBYM powerpoint found on the internal Employee Toolkit. Believe it if you want, call BS if you want. All I know is I tracked it down because I wanted to know when the Storm was coming out and thought I would try to be helpful and share.

Wait a minute… seriously, nobody at boy genius noticed that the Storm picture has a BGR in the lower left hand corner?

Uhm…ya…you can totally see BGR logo on the Storm….Total SCAM!!! BG should have caught that!!!

What about the whole middle ground where …That picture of the Thunder/storm isn’t what the actual product looks like. On the real one, the chrome “plastic” doesn’t look like this one pictured. It more wraps around to back of the phone.

Looks like a horrible photoshop job
Shenanigans x 2!

Can we please ban comments from these short bus riding assholes?
“PowerPoint draft deck”
Draft, bitches. As in, this is a draft copy. I work for a wireless distributor and we always use random pics off the net in draft materials until we get official images from carriers or manufacturers. READ.

@tofu
how did you put your picture in that box? Does anyone know how to put a picture near your name when you comment?

I have to agree with others on this because I’ve seen other official documents on this site and many others and I’ve never seen one like this. But hopefully, the dates are correct because I’d love to check out the Storm a little earlier than I expected.

Whether fake or not, BG did say it was old and the picture could’ve just been snagged off the net by Best Buy just to have something in place. Obviously these release dates are not solid, as is evidenced by the Bold’s date. However, the Storm’s might be accurate since it will be released on Verizon before Best Buy…with a launch of possibly around Nov. 4th
