BlackBerry Storm User Guide
While we wait for RIM’s ex-IDF teams to storm (har, har) the office, we’ve decided to share a ton of pages from the BlackBerry Storm’s User Guide with our loyal readers. It’s a lot more in depth than the PowerPoint was, and it walks you through practically everything. We posted what we thought were the most important parts of the device and things we haven’t seen before. For instance, the full home screen in both orientations, the active call screen, voice recording, camera and video camera options and viewfinder, BlackBerry Maps, tasks — stuff like that. This is my first official comment on BG’s website. But first I definitely have to give props to BG for being able to provide us with all this amazing information and knowledge on all mobile devices. I’ve been waiting for this phone to come out since April or May, because that’s when I initially heard about a touchscreen phone would be coming out by Blackberry. The time is almost upon us for it’s release, I’m just patiently waiting for some real video feed of actual use the “storm”
After all the pre-release bad publicity thunder/storm has received, people are now raving. Good going RIM!

The blackberry storm is and will be a great phone. But RIM did something really wrong keeping the phone only on Verizon that was a mistake. I want the storm but I guess ill have to keep waiting till someone unlocks it or when Verizon fails to sell all the storm and then RIM will pass them over to other carriers. No one will switch over to Verizon plans that u will be paying to much for nothing. RIM. For the first time ever u made a mistake and its going to bite them where it really hurts there sells

It’s always entertaining to sit back and wait for uninformed idiots like yourself to make a dumb comment. RIM did anything but make a mistake by going to Verizon with this phone. I recall Apple also went to VZW first and VZW turned them down. These companies know a good phone service when they see it.
And you say that, “No one will switch over to Verizon plans that u will be paying to much for nothing.” PLEASE, elaborate. If I recall correctly most (not all) of their price plans are the same as AT&T (Navigator on both = $9.99, unlimited msging on both = $20, Mobile back-up on both, $1.99, unlimited data and e-mail for blackberry/smartphones on both = $29.99 and the list goes on).
I even know of some things being cheaper. Data for instance. On AT&T you pay .01 per KB. On VZW you pay $1.99 per MB. Let’s do the math. 1024 KB = 1 MB. Ohhhh wait, that means that 1MB of data on AT&T is $10.24 and on VZW it’s still only $1.99… a bit of a difference I see.
So please, if you are going to post, at least be able to back up what you are saying.

Having the iPhone 3G and numerous problems with it, I can’t wait for this STORM! it looks hot. Specs outperform the iPhone… Can’t wait. I hope the touch device is as good if not better than iPhone, if so, we got a BIG iPhone killer… Hoping and chanting the STORM!

First of, thanks BG…you really killed every other blog site this weekend but your servers prohibited you from getting the hits and attention you deserved. This is the first time I’ve been let on your site even, and it’s monday.
People really just like to talk for the sake of talking, huh. Verizon and AT&T’s data plans are the same. People like new things and the same way people flocked to AT&T for the iPhone so will people for the Storm. Obviously not everyone went over to AT&T such as me, and not everyone will return to Verizon. It’s just the way things are so I don’t know why there is so much criticism.

I am sure VZW said the same thing about the iPhone. You are both wrong.
But on a more positive note for you… If you want to keep your AT&T network, then I believe that some of the pics were of Vodafone… They are a GSM carrier so you shouldn’t have to wait too long to get a Storm; since several EU member countries require phones to be unlocked to be sold in their country. They might be just around the corner… Then again I could be wrong…
