Nokia hints at a touchscreen E90 successor

During a webcast for S60, Nokia flashed an image of a phone that looks just like a touchscreen-enabled Nokia E90 Communicator. From the image grab, the phone is a standard touchscreen when closed. Open the pencil box and swivel the screen and you now have a touchscreen with a QWERTY keyboard à la E90. Only time will tell if this is just a concept device to fill a slide in a presentation or a sweet new phone they “not so secretly” have in the works as the second S60 5th edition handset.

how much fun would writing an email be on that keyboard? imagine, a full qwerty with no tactical feedback…

I’ve never seen a phone that opens up that isn’t massively thick. I think slide up would be the way to go.
