HTC Touch Cruise updated to Windows Mobile 6.1
Sure, it might be one of the ugliest HTC handsets in recent memory, but that hasn’t stopped the Taiwanese manufacturer from giving it a little Windows Mobile 6.1 love. The Touch Cruise is the most recent recipient of some Microsoft software update action, bringing a host of improvements and bug fixes along with it. Though it’s certainly not a looker by any stretch of the imagination, the Touch Cruise is a pretty well spec’d little handset, bringing up the tail-end of HTC’s last-generation design platform. I would say the ugliest from HTC goes to G1.

This one… I dunno. I kinda like it. Seems kinda rugged for a smartphone.
Yeah, “Sorry, this software download is not suitable for your device. ” As a Touch Cruise owner, I like the look of this phone, and this update would be a nice little gift for purchasing a 6.0 phone just before 6.1 comes out. But until I can figure out why I can’t actually download the official rom update, I must say i’ve gone from content to disappointed. I would rather not have an update then to have an update taunting me.

G1 looks good to me and I always wanted the touch cruise but its so damn expensive!
3D video drivers cooking on XDA with numbers beter than Diamond/Raphael. Too bad all Qualcomm cpus are inferior because no fpu.

Extremely disappointing and it is such a nice phone.
