AT&T’s Samsung i907 is called Epix

Well, there goes BlackJack III… We just got a hot tip from one of our readers and it clearly shows what we all knew as the Samsung i780 dressed up in AT&T branding as the AT&T Epix. There’s also been some physical tweaks to make the device more polished. Specs? There’s the awesome optical joystick which doubles as the select button for the 5-way d-pad, Windows Mobile Professional 6.1, UMTS/HSDPA, and GPS. We weren’t briefed on the other specs, but you can be sure there’s a camera (with VideoShare likely) and Bluetooth. We were also told to look for it to launch around the same time-frame as the AT&T Fuze for probably around $199 after MIR. Samsung, you’re doing alright, but you’ve got to learn how make QWERTY keyboards, ok?

Hi do you think the epix samsung is better than the blackberry bold?? just new to this and I’m thinking on buying one of them thanks tim
The Epix is $100.00 less than the bold. The bold has a great screen, but a mediocre browser and no touch screen. The keypad is also easier on the Bold. Far too many keys on the Epix…I’m having trouble getting used to it.
As for its bulk….that is so much stuff and nonsense. It’s really almost the same dimensions as the iphone. Granted, it’s a really crappy picture on the box! But anyone who says it’s big, thick and boxy is blowing smoke of your dress…
Tim, the Epix is a better value($100.00 cheaper
phone) than the bold. That being said, its
keyboard sucks big time for guys like me with
big fingers. Try both, and base your decision
on which keyboard you can live with. You
can’t go wrong with either, so make your
decision on the keyboard you like.
Oh, and ignore “Stop_N_Go”. He obviously
is making reviews up. Frankly, he should be
ashamed. But people who make up reviews aren’t
folks that feel shame for making stuff up.(Ok,
they lie with impunity!)
Shyster
Oh, and obviously “dtest” doesn’t have a problem with making reviews up, either…
And “dtest”
The epix is about the same size as the iphone.
Stop making reviews up out of whole cloth.
however does not like this phone is stupid its awesome
Did you tried installing the Opera browser. It’s totally different and you double tap the screen and it goes to a customizable zoom and then you can drag your pen and move throughout the page smoothly (close similar to the iphone web browser interface)
