Samsung Delve hitting U.S. Cellular?
We just got our hands on this snap of what we’re told is the Samsung Delve. If your spectacles are currently on your nightstand, the branding at the top says U.S. Cellular. You could sort of consider it a cross between the Samsung Instinct and Samsung F480 we guess; there’s even an on-screen QWERTY keyboard. Some of the specs include a 2 megapixel camera, full HTML browser, YourNavigator (U.S. Cellular’s Nav software), and Samsung’s TouchWiz UI. Our tipster tell us that the unit seems pretty stable and the device is completely user-friendly, even in it’s current beta state. We weren’t given pricing information, but look for the Samsung Delve to hit store shelves around mid-November! Full set of specs are listed after the break…

Power_Dr- yes i just got the tritan Thursday from uscc and when you renew you get an extra $20 off the phone so instead of the phone being $149.99 it was $129.99 and then i get a $50.00 rebate which will make the phone $79.99.I love the tritan way better than the delve.You will be pleased with the tritan and if you get it post and let me know how you like it.:)

okay, so I accidently typed a playlist name the wrong way.
so I want to delete the playlist.
But when I click on the options, there is no ‘delete options.’
so what do I do to delete the playlist?
Emi- Go to the mp3 player, hit the top left corner to pull up the library screen, click playlists, then the bottom there are 3 options, create, erase, and edit, click erase, then it will come up with a screen and if you have more than one playlist, you can select which one(s) you want to erase.
So I have the Delve and my husband has the Tritan we just got them about a week ago. I love the Delve (once I figured out the ringtone qcp thing. My husband’s Tritan is nice but it is bulky and I hate pull out keyboards…it’s a nice phone though.
Anyway, I just read about the update of software from BJ09 to BL09 and was wondering what all it changed because my local tech is not the nicest and was wondering if it is worth the fight…is it???
@Andrea- the update from bj09 to bl09 for the delve only correct bluetooth issues that’s all.
@roz thanks! not worth the fight. my bluetooth seems to be working perfectly fine (fingers crossed). Hopefully we will get a good application update soon! Thanks again!
@Andrea- samsung said they don’t know if there will be any updates for the delve.
OK, I know its been answered probabley a million times. I have made the songs from my library into ringtones for text and voicemail that work fine, but I cant get my voice call to change. I even bought one from easy edge to try and it shows changed but when someone calls it is the same one that came when I got the phone. HELP
Ryan- So when you go into your ringer types, and the voice calls, it shows one thing but then when someone calls it doesn’t play that sound, it plays the sound that came on the phone when you got it?
exactly, its showing a song but when someone calls it does the “incoming call from…”
ryan try this, go into settings, call settings, call alert, there will be 3 options click on the ring only one then hit ok, see if that works
@ roz that’s sad…I hate when things are made then forgotten…oh well at least it has what it has…I can’t complain it was a big upgrade from my moto v323…thanks
@Andrea- yes i agree i have the delve but its not on i just got the lg tritan.The delve was cool but just alot of lil things i didnt like about it.

Hi,I just wanted to thank you all for letting me know wheather or notthe Delve is a smart phone.I just wish my carrier”Alltel” could see that same thing.I even called Samsung and they verified that it is NOT a smart phone, yet Alltel made me change my plan to one that is for a smart phone! I have had service with Alltel since 1999 and have been very satisfied, however, living on Disabality(the phone was a gift from my son)and the so called “Alltel Anytime Plan change(which i had no problems with till the Virizon merger started) I just feel like I’m getting ripped off ya know.They say it’s because it has the “full html web browswer” but yet it is very slow to get online and I can’t click on links.I’m hoping that on July 12th when it will all be Virizon, that I will be able to get them to work with me.I even offered to send the $200.00 Delve back and get a 99 cent Blackberry and they would not even do that.I am just very frustrated.Sorry for all the venting.I also noticed that the Delve that US Cellular is getting, the Apps all look different than the one that I have.Not sure if it’s a different more upgraded version or what.Anyway, I do love the phone, it is really awesome, but I will be so very glad when I can get a true “Smart Phone” since I’m having to pay for a plan for one.Hope all of you have a wonderful day,Corine

I need to disable the EvDO on my phone as I did a *228 update to my phone and now I can not go to my browser, use my GPS, download Pic messages, or look into easyedge. Any idea on how to get this feature disabled? I can not find Debug mode codes for the Delve anywhere. I have US Cellular.
okay; to put the phone on vibrate for text messages, you go to settings-sound setting-volume-and go to messages volume- then set it to silence. then go to master volume and set it to vibrate only. then it will automatically make the messages go on vibrate only

I’ve had the Delve since last Thanksgiving, and so far it’s been great…except with a couple minor exceptions.
One of the problems i have with the phone is that when somone texts me the same thing that they have recently texted me, like a smiley face, then the phone thinks that it’s a duplicate message, and the NEW MESSAGE icon at the top of the phone stays there forever unless i erase ALL of the text messages in my inbox. Has anyone else had a problem with this?
Another problem I’d like to address is when i have difficulty unlocking the phone. Sometimes when i try double clicking on the power button, it just goes to the screen saver, and then back to darkness, over and over. So i have to hold down the power button for a long time, and sometimes it just turns off the phone entirely which is quite troublesome.
Thats another thing! I dont know about the rest of you guys, but sometimes I go to unlock my phone, but then when i hold the power button to unlock it, the phone turns on! So the phone was turned off the entire time, even though I didn’t turn it off at all. It’s like it turned off by itself.
With all that said, my most recent attempt at tryin to make the phone better was to download the opera mini mobile browser. It seemed to download alright, but I cant find a way to actually use the opera mini mobile browser. The website says to look through folders in the phone, but what folders are there in the Samsung Delve? And how would I access them?
If anyone can bring light to any of the problems above, or if you are at least suffering from some of the same problems as I am, please leave a comment so that I would at least know that I’m not the only one.
