Excerpt from BrewNinja:
The next iteration in coolness by Samsung will be the A637, codenamed “Milky” due to its off-white, translucent coloring reminiscent of 2% or non-fat milk. Yes, I believe this will be the answer to the marketing of the LG Chocolate series, but failing somewhat as it is just another camera phone. Marketed for the AT&T market, this will be the next little iPod accessory (because of the color) to possibly land in the hands of the tween crowd everywhere, unless, of course, they want music from their phone.
Again, since I only test the functionality of the applications in relation to the device, I can’t really go on much about it. It’s pretty light, slim, seems to fit in any pocket quite well. Almost well enough to lose it “accidentally” (that jaded factor, sorry, haven’t eaten yet). But, it does boast the ability to use it as an MP3 player (has a headphones port), a modest little camera for videos and pictures, and the ability to play all the recent MIDP 2.0 enabled J2ME games.
I do like the rounded, bowl-shaped D-Pad. It feels nice to have something for which my thumb to grip upon while navigating menus. The keypad is slightly off-center in relation to its surrounding keys, and the whole white scheme often makes it difficult to read numbers and letters on the small plastic keypad. But, being a 10-key typist as well as a gifted TXT’er, it’s not really an issue.
The screen is large and bright, despite it’s Medium classification, and quite crisp which follows suit for other Samsung devices. It is a 3G device, so it’s more than capable of surfing the miniaturized world wide web (WAP) at speeds tolerable to even the most finicky of a tween.
But, I’m tired, and must push this device out for deadlines as well. I can only imagine what the Milky holds in store for immature comments of the sexual nature.

Nice for a backup device.

Looks like something you’d see in a .99 store with candy inside.

Wow…
Pretty feature laden for what I figured looked destined for GoPhone purgatory…
Not the ugliest thing I’ve ever seen either. But the name… whoa.

it’s a pretty hardy phone, i checked one out the other day, it could def survive a two-story fall. i’ve had a couple of phones that just break on me, or literally wear out cuz of moving parts, not this phone, the plastic casing is like a quarter inch thick, great back up or ‘work’ phone, or to play cricket w/

actually… this phone despite personal preference on looks, it very good. 3g, turn by turn gps, 1.3mp camera, slim, small, separate keys, it is by no means called the milky, not by samsung or at&t. you would think its a go phone but its not! in fact its not even close to one of the cheapest phones offered by the company. samsung in general also has great sound, durability and visible icons/ numbers on the screens. check it out before you knock it out

Samsung is generally a good little phone. this one is 3g but it is not a pda. it is a smart phone how ever. you cannot look at it as an i phone. it has micro SD slot and usb hook up. it has video capture and playback, mp3 support music player, blue tooth and it is durable. it does have voice dial but then that is a worthless feature for 5$ a month or more. economically speaking that is. but still it is there if needed. music id. all in all not a bad little phone. i definitely think it would last the two years of a contract life. which many phones today do not. and no product advisories which is a good thing. the screen doesn’t crack if you press the buttons too hard or anything. samsung is a great manufacturer. usually has great signal strength, good sound quality and ease of use. Very important things in a phone. it also has built in yahoo aim and windows live messengers with built in mobile email. not too bad actually. slim and sleek it has a chic quality to it. not to be be put into the same category as the blackjack/2 or the epic, it can hold it own over time against a razor. doesn’t flip which means the hinge wont break(big fat duh) good for a work phone or if you get a bit tipsy on occasion or suffer from numb hands(carpel tunnel syndrome) and drop your phone a lot. which i do. all in all sturdy, feature filled and functional. it can also be used as a tethering device.. which is cool as hell.
