Blackberry Bold release date at Best Buy
One of the biggest questions on everyone’s mind (well, almost everyone) is: when the hell is the Bold coming to the U.S.? Well, we got our hands on this image showing a release date of October 26, 2008 in Best Buy’s system. That means it will likely be out a week or two before it hits this authorized AT&T retailer (early October, anyone?) So, for everyone who’s been harassing AT&T reps and customer service, you can relax a little knowing it’s going to be coming out much sooner than later. Perhaps it will follow the HTC Touch Diamond when they released it a week earlier than it was scheduled. Only time will tell, but we’re feeling the force is strong with this one. We were told to expect pricing “around $600.” Hit the break for a larger shot!
Thanks, A.D.

From my understanding “Deleted” is stated when there’s nothing in the warehouse. When there’s a shipment, it goes to “Active”. Obviously its not going to be considered “Deleted” when the out of stock date is 2010.

any info on when t-mobile will release theirs?

Deleted usually means it was carrier and is no longer carried. If there are none in the warehouse or not in stock yet it says “Not carried by location”.

Man, I am just so happy that the Bold is coming out this month. I’m kind of happy that AT&T took the time it needed to work out the known “issues” on the Bold. And don’t forget Blackberry fans, the Blackberry Pearl Flip 8220 comes out this month as well on T-Mobile (Cheaper Blackberry plan!)…oh, and the storm comes out in November! So many Blackberry phones to choose from! I love Blackberry!

You calling into BGR Radio? Me and Clue are recording now…

Based on the model number (9000), looks like the Javlin/new curve will be out before the Bold (9600).

$600 for this phone i will have to pass now that too steep for a phone that will last me 2 years that more then i pay for the total of my car insurance for 6 months.

Based on current BB device pricing in the high end $600 would be a non contract price with the 2 year price in the $300-400 range especially if they plan to compete.

As a Bold user since August 25th I say:
Save your money…
My advice is to
a) wait for javelin- hopefully without crappy bold browser
b) Wait for Thunder/Storm- hopefully truly innovative.
This OS is full of weird buggy type things (ie oops, ended up at the wrong screen again), and a web browser as slow as my EDGE 8310-who cares if I have 6GB of data and 3G with a phone this SLOW!!

Oh BGR, didn’t you say you’re sticking firm to your October 2nd release date for AT&T? What happened to that?

Not sure where these guys get their information from but they seem firm on a 3rd Oct release date - say as much three times in the same article: http://www.caymanmama.com/2008/09/27/blackberry-makes-a-bold-statement-with-the-blackberry-bold_200809273225.html
I’m getting tired of waiting, too. As every other country but the US seems to have it, it looks as though the problem is with the carrier not the device. Stop hating on RIM and take it up with AT&T…

ATT are a bunch of cocksuckers. They shouldn’t even get the Bold. Maybe later. They don’t care about it. T-Mobile needs to make it they’re 2nd big 3G phone. Let AT&T stick with their iphones and all those apple loving fanboy fags out there. Including bgr. Sorry bro its true you blow Steve Jobs every wednesday.
