BeeJive IM goes live on the App Store
We told you it was coming, folks. It’s finally here, approved by the almighty Apple gods, and ready for your download. We’ll keep this short and sweet; we standby our previous article where we said this is hands down the best IM application for the iPhone. So go check it out and report back, we know you’ll be pleasantly surprised after the disastrous duo of IM+ and Palringo.

$16?!?!?! Thats crazy!…I might get it if it was like $5. Good thing you guys linked to it because it doesn’t come up in the store via the phone, thanks for the info but I’ll stay with the AOL version or some browser-based versions.
Yeah 16 dollars is preposterous for this app. The AOL version might not be perfect, but it’s definitely not worth 16 bucks, especially with the background notification service hopefully coming sometime this decade (come on Apple…).
$16 isn’t bad for something you’re going to have and use unless you’re cheap. If that’s the case then there’s no help for you.
Wow.
Why in the world will someone pay 15.99 on an instant messaging app?!
I’d rather settle with the free AIM or Palringo.
If you think it’s too expensive, then IM isn’t important to you. But if you’re on it constantly and need to communicate through that medium, there’s no better application for the iPhone…
I got to be part of the beta testing back when Jivetalk was coming out for blackberry. They release quality products and have some of the best customer service, hands down.
Skip it if you think $16 is too much, but you’re missing out.
Not available on the app store yet.
Yes, for those who absolutely IM to communicate (I know a lot of work places that communicate via MSN Messenger or AIM) then $15.99 is totally worth this app, which can be simply described as “IM badassery.”
Who the hell is paying you to advertise this?
This is ridiculous. It does nothing better than Palringo.
I gotta agree that 16 is a little strong. I might even go 10, but perhaps a free ‘lite’ version that would allow us to test drip the app without shelling out the cash. Give us a taste, make us want more and then spank us for 16.
And Jeff M, easy on the name-calling and pejorative commentary. We won’t call you out for bad grammar if you don’t call us out for being mindful of how the rest of us spend out cash.
BG- how ’bout hooking us up with a few freebies- you gotta think the dev would hook you up for pimping their app. Us po’ technophiles gots to start saving money for the new Apple phone on Verizon and T-Mo…. (coming soon….)
£9.49 in UK!! Cant believe that!!?? lol ah well, still worth it probably… it better be or boy genius gets it hehehe DUDES, it pushes messages through mobileme!
@Sectores
Will talk to the BeeJive peepz and see what I can do…
16 dollars is more than worth it for a quality app, you cheapskates. I’ll be purchasing this the moment I get home
Anyone bought it yet? Gonna hold out, see if its stable first
lol the Apple gods.. are you serious??
Ill give this website another 6 months before its strictly Apple dedicated.
You must ” bee” out you “jive” mind. 16 bucks. Plus tax? Give me a &$@” break.
Kudos to Beejive for bringing their IM app to the iPhone. They have long been the premiere IM application for the blackberry and I actually paid $25 for a lifetime subscription and it’s well worth every penny if it’s a means of communication for you.
Keep in mind, this application on the blackberry blows the sidekick IM application out of the water, and I’m sure that on the iPhone it’s the same way.
How to access beejive from apple store? Can’t seem to find it
I would rather wait for push notifications, then all the im apps will really to forward. We will see who the real winners are then…
Just hit the read link…

@steigerwald if i recall beejive already has support for push notifications for when apple implements them. Also it can push notifications of new messages to email right now. It’s the most kickass IM client out there for the iphone
Praise Jeebus. Totally sucks they didnt leave a way to activate it and allow you to transfer your Blackberry keys. They told me a few months back that we would be able to transfer them, basterds.
Anyways, already purchased. I’ll post my findings in a bit. I HAZ JIVETALK!!
look you guys. I bought that app and have been playing with it ever since. It is absolutely the best. I have tried everyone out there fir the iPhone. It does everything it says. Even allows you to stay online on their servers if you choose. You select the amount of time you want to stay on. And sends you emails via mobile me or exchange. It’s worth every penny trust me.
Too bad the iphone sucks and can’t have great IM apps like my blackberry.
ok soooo…. 15 bucks seemed pretty steep but after trying palringo and IM+ and quickly realizing what a JOKE those apps were… i decided might as well give Beejive a shot since ive heard nothin but good about them in the past….. GLAD I DID! Beejive is definitely worth the 15 bucks if you like using instant messengers…. stop bein cheap and take the leap! this app is worth it!!!
