Some screen shots from Vodafone-branded Blackberry Storm emerge

Some purported screen shots of Vodafone-branded Blackberry Storm have emerged today. If you believe what you see is for real, then you may be a bit disappointed. The resolution on the screen is quite nice but the interface, well, looks just like a Blackberry. Should we be surprised by that? The calendar, email, and browser look incredibly text-based for a touchscreen device that promises to take the world by Storm. Where are all the pretty icons that we can tap on? Let’s hope these images are only a small sample and the rest of the UI is significantly better than what is shown. Otherwise, this is one Storm that may just go out to sea. Hit the jump for some more pictures.

Thanks, Matt!

Really??? None of you have anything better to do than speculate what you may or may not like about mobile devices. NEWS FLASH! There are a crap load of ‘em out there. Go put your hands on them and if you like it, buy it and USE IT.

this thing looks sweet. Not being a big fan or touch screen because i have a regular phone with a touch screen options, so sometimes for no reason it starts playing music in my pocket if my hand happens to graze it. This phone is looks amazing and is a good choice for all of the people who love BB and dont like the Iphone, like me.

Damn!! I was really hoping I could just talk to this new BB and it would automatically type for me without my ever touching it.

Sheesh…Some of you guys are real boneheads. This BB looks GREAT!! Condemning this new BB before it’s even in your paws. That’s ridiculous!!! Why is it that the only thing some of you people are capable of is to compare everything to the iPhone. Even if the iPhone had a mega-fantastic 25th century design, it’s still stuck on pathetic AT&T.

Has anyone actually used the BlackBerry Storm yet? Will it work anywhere in the world? How would you compare/rate it with the Treo 700? Thanks, Mark

Another issue I encountered with my Storm after having it for only 2 days is last night the battery went completely dead so I plugged it in to charge. I plugged it out this morning, turned it on and it started going haywire doing all kind of weird stuff. I had to a hard reset to get it working again… Anyone else had this problem? I really love this phone but after reading alot of the posts, seems to me like this phone has the potential to have alot of issues.
