Is this the new MacBook Pro?
Could this be the rumored upgrade to the Apple MacBook Pro? It certainly looks similar to the recently leaked image from Germany, not to mention jiving with the aesthetic changes that have been all but confirmed by folks close to the project. At the same time, we have to remain skeptical of any Apple product leaks, as the fanboy community will do just about anything to stoke the flames of anticipation leading up to an inevitable product launch. Notice the dock icons on the trackpad, as well as the beveled edges on the bottom side of the notebook. Could Apple really be planning on implementing the LED-equipped glass touchpad that has been batted about for so long? Time will tell, and chances are good that this shot is a mere photoshop monkey job, but if this does turn out to resemble the new portables from Cupertino, would this be something on your Christmas wishlist?

how would the dock being in the touchpad be better than the dock being on the screen? seriously, beyond the cool factor (which is debatable), how woudl that be helpful? seems like just one more thing to break, if you ask me

looks like a fake to me- why would apple keep the old power button if they changed the keyboard to the recessed kind- wouldn’t they also change the power button to match the macbook air?

This is prob fake. On the off chance that it isn’t…A mouse trackpad that has screen behind it that can display context sensitive buttons and info??? Yes, please! I would wait in line for this one because the options are limitless for a mini-touchscreen where the trackpad used to be. I can’t even comprehend the its limits. Mmmmm.

I wonder if this one will decide to split open like the other mac books. Over priced intel crap for a pretty ui. Well worth the extra cash. I guess the osx86/insanely mac crew serve a purpose.

The glass touch pad would be pretty neat to have. I guess it’s still going to be a 16:10 aspect ratio screen. I heard rumors of an 18.4″ 16:9 monster MBP. It would be one behemoth of a laptop.
Interesting to see what becomes of this. From all the chatter it looks as the earliest we can expect new MBPs would be October 14th and the latest would be Macworld 2009.

just a petty FYI, since i’m bored…Crystal Talk is not a new moto feature, both the V9 and Z9 are also boasting this pretty awesome ability which IMO, rivals the jawbones ability to isolate and eliminate ambiant noise…word

This is fake. They’ve placed it on what appears to be a wood surface, but did a sloppy shadow chop job to the front right corner that gives the appearance of a glass-like reflection. Really weird.

This looks fake. and its really ugly. i dont think apple would do such a thing to destroy their clean and sleek looking designs as of late… with the exception of the macbook air. dock on the trackpad? why? and for what? it doesnt make sense…that thing looks downright horrendus! geez!

looks pretty good to me. First time they showed the infamous washroom pictures of the BB kickstart, i thought someone built a BB kids play phone…lol…And look at the kickstart now, looks alright to me. What’s the point of the dock on the trackpad wskpro asks: Well, one, it frees up space on the screen. of course u can have the dock auto-retract but most apple newbies don’t know that. And having a completely clean and uncluttered screen is a major selling point. Two, supposedly the touch-pad is the screen from the iphone just horizontally placed. (so if ur a chick, u might wanna stock up on nail clippers). A few years ago Apple tried pushing the Axiotron…which was essentially a touchscreen macbook with no keyboard, but It didn’t fly. This is their way of pushing touchscreen once again. And three, placing the dock on the touch-pad is most likely just an option. For those who are not fans of the mouse (myself included), sliding ur finger across a piece of plastic as ur navigating through ur hard drives directory looking for a file, is much much easier. It’s the way of the future man. Come aboard.

While this mockup is likely fake, I doubt it’s far off from what we should be expecting with the new MacBooks.
One thing I’m also expecting? Look for Apple to drop the “Pro” name from the bigger laptops. Considering the only thing different between the two lines these days is mainly screen size and graphics capability, and the differences are likely to shrink with all of them going Aluminum, it’s only logical for them to all fall under the same family.
Coming soon, the all new MacBook in 13″ 15″ and 17″. Don’t be surprised when it happens.

hopefully its not fake and yes the two photoshop “experts” are right because i can do that to pictures also but i choose not to because it is morally wrong….all the guy probably did is take a picture(like the macbook), take another picture(like the dock), take the dock photo and modify it(free tranform > skew and make it look like a flat polygon) then change the opacity to make it look like a shadow, then slap it right onto the trackpad and merge to one layer then format to .bmp or .jpeg to make sure no one can open the file and see all the devious shit you did to alter the photo and viola….the fakest fuckin macbook just to trick the shit out of people!!! oh and other thing…if youre taking a photo of something……USE A FUCKIN DIGITAL CAMERA!!! NOTE: an iPhone is not a subsitute for a camera….8 megapixels and above is a good camera..fuzzy photos of unreleased gadgets are nothing to me because they can be easily altered and look very real….high defntion(resolution) photos are harder to alter because it takes a photoshop god to alter them to make it look very real and not fake and obviously this guy thinks no one knows about photoshop…SHAME ON HIM!!!!!…either way that would be a hot laptop to have but I cant drop 4 grand on a laptop right now school and work….and im not an assistant manager so pay isnt that much of an eyeopener…..
