LG Xenon hitting AT&T before Christmas?
We just got our perfectly manicured hands on a photo of what we’re told is the LG Xenon. It was described to us as being in AT&T’s labs right now undergoing testing, and it should be available before Christmas. As you can see, it’s a slider device with a full QWERTY keyboard. It’s also got UMTS/HSDPA, a 3 megapixel camera, A-GPS, Wi-Fi, an accelerometer, and even a proximity sensor. Here’s the run down on all the specs:
- Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE
- Dual-band UMTS/HSDPA (850MHz/2100MHz)
- 950 mAh battery
- It’s physical size is 105.5 x 53.5 x 15.8 mm
- 240×480 2.8″ LCD
- 3 megapixel FF +VGA (VT)
- 100MB of memory with microSD support up to 16GB
- Bluetooth 2.0
- USB 2.0
- Wi-Fi
- EMP U330 Lite Chipset
All in all, not bad LG. Not bad.

Could this mean its really coming out?

I hope it comes out sometime in Feb. I’m in desperate need of a full qwerty keyboard and touchscreen phone. If not, I’ll have to swallow my pride and get the quickfire, the matrix, or the razr2…which I don’t want to do.
I’ll bet that AT&T is gonna release the lg neon, and maybe a couple weeks or so, they’ll release the xenon.
I just wanted to say that this article is the worst piece of irresponsible tripe I have seen in a long time. One picture and no other information, the most important of which would have been where did you hear about this. It was promised before Christmas, which came and went. It was rumoured to be January 25, which also came and went, yet this article has remained up and no one has bothered to update it, or more preferrably, to apologize for being wrong. It has proven to me that BGR is worthless and should be ignored. I put off buying a phone because of this “article” and really wish some one would take responsibillity for being wrong.

ok soo its great that almost 2 months went by and nothing new has been mentioned about the phone. The only reports of it are from BGR and every other website picked up the details from you guys.. i guess that means you guys are the experts, so experts.. wanna tell me the new “release date”

2. Date its comming out is April 9 or 10.
3. LG Neon/Etna is comming out in May.

The BJ3 is called the epix and it has a touch screen unlike the BJ2. The BOLD has been out for a few months and it has wifi which is cool
OK guys about the keyboard, THE SPACE BUTTON IS NOT ACTUALLY IN THE CORNER! On phonedog.com they have a video of this phone in its final form at CTIA and you can see in the video that the space button is in the middle. The keyboard in this picture must not be the actual one because in the video EVERYTHING on the keyboard is basically different from the picture. I have a lg voyager and I really like the new lg xenon might be thinking bout switching. its almost the same thing as the voyager but instead it slides up which will make it easier to text. I like xenon for the simple fact the keyboard doesnt have those unneccary buttons the voyager has.
I can tell you it is out now in stores and that the lg neon will be coming out soon. Its kinda like this just has alittle more buttons on the main screen.

As far as the Xenon’s touch UI goes, it’s pretty much par for the course—in fact, anyone who’s familiar with the touchscreen Vu will immediately recognize the same interface on the Xenon.
And while the 3G-enabled handset comes with the plenty of messaging features (mobile e-mail, SMS/MMS, and instant messaging are supported), streaming video/music downloads, and one-way video conferencing over the two-megapixel camera, don’t look for smartphone capabilities here—indeed, even LG reps are careful not to call the Xenon a smartphone.

This phone looks awesome…you people out there who are putting it down…WOW…What is ur problem…..This phone looks pretty sick…Who cares if the space bar is on the side…sure you want a pretty phone but still…at least it’s better than the 1900’s where thet had no phones whatsoever….WOW people are SSSSOOOO dumb…At least it has a full keyboard…Good job att and LG…Give yourself a pat on the back
