Google G1 screenshots galore
Looking for a bit of Google G1 goodness to hold you over until T-Mobile’s announcement later tomorrow this morning? We’ve got you covered. An eagle-eyed reader spotted these promo shots on T-Mobile’s G1 site, giving us a bit of a sneak preview of the world’s first commercially available Android-based device. The desktop shot looks roughly similar to the Android desktop shots that we’ve seen from the beginning, with a collection of customizable widgets that display a variety of at-a-glance info and access to commonly used applications. The presence of a MyFaves icon ensures compatibility with T-Mobile’s unlimited calling service. The next screen shot gives a bit of a look into the Maps application, though it doesn’t reveal a whole lot of useful info. We do see reference to, YouTube, Gmail, and GCal, but Google Application interfacing is no secret. Finally, we’ve got a look at both the browser and the landscape mode for image viewing. Again, nothing revolutionary, though the browser does appear to be formatted similarly to Google’s iPhone-specific mode. I think this phone is just the answer to T-Mobile’s prayers as well as the people who can’t stand Apple/Mac or the keyboardless iPhone. Can’t wait to get it!!! iPhones are overrated. It’s a phone…not a piece of jewelry. Quit your yappin’ over the aesthetics of the phone. Some of the ugliest looking phones I’ve had were the better than the ‘prettier’ ones, that’s for sure. And yes…it has WiFi. I can’t wait to try it out! I’m getting mine on 10/22!!!

except for the stereo bluetooth,yet it may have that…
I think the Samsung Instinct is a much better phone than the iPhone and I hope this G1 will spice up the phone wars. It is 1 ugly m()th3rf&Ck3R though!

It will have copy & paste. I love this phone. It looks awesome, I actually like the design, I don’t know why. I just preordered one, and I can’t wait for it.

Does it really matter in the end? I mean a phone is a phone you make calls and send text! Anything after that is a bonus of the phone! Who cares iphone,blackberry,G1 buy it if you like it, save your money if you don’t. That simple people!!!
yo….evry1 is saying stuff bout the fone lyke they own it…why dont yew guys ATLEAST just use it once nd then yew can tell us if its good or not…nd second, the iphone sux….my whole family has the iphone nd it broke down on all of us, nd jus cuz its android it mite not evn b all dat great, AND its pretty cheap, jus 175 for that….that obviously tells us something, expensive fone like tilt is bettr….tilt nevr broke down on me…nd they basically copied blackberry w/ the roller…copied iphone w/ errything except the slider, nd copied tilt with EVERYTHING but they jus made it thinner nd the buttons look different but act the same.so therefore…all yew guys need 2 calm down nd go chek the fone out first…damn

this phone s garbage i have one and so far i c ant get internet there is no headphone jack to listen to music it could use a stylist as well as touch screen no one though this phone through it was just rushed to market so i am going to close my 5 year account with T-mobile and go with the i phone
