T-Mobile announces another round of 3G expansion

Just in time for their big Android announcement on September 23, T-Mobile announced Thursday that they will expand their 3G service by mid-October to 8 additional markets, including Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles, Orlando, Philadelphia, Sacramento, San Francisco and Seattle. This brings the total to 21 cities with another 6 cities (Birmingham, Denver, Detroit, Kansas City, Memphis and Tampa) expected to be added by the end of the year. Looks like they’re right on track and not wavering from their expected launch dates. With Android right on the horizon and 3G coming in on schedule, it looks like things are coming up roses for T-Mobile right now.

I’m wondering when they will 3G-ify Raleigh, NC / RTP.One og the biggest domestic tech areas behind Silicon Valley for those who don’t know. I know they literally just got into the Carolinas, but bringing 3G would get peoples’ attention. No more “hello carolinas”, but instead HELLO Carolinas!”

The Carolinas WILL NOT be selling the G1! Bummer. Reason is becasue they are not on the 3G network and are NOT on the future Schedule in the next year to come aboard the 3G Network!

SUCKS! Only way you can get the phone in the carolinas is to order it off line……good luck with that!
