AT&T launch updates: HTC Fuze, Samsung Mirage, Bold moved to November?
Bear with us folks. We’ve just got ahold of an AT&T product sheet dated September 17th. Also known as “the most up to date doc you’ve seen”. Before we get into the BlackBerry Bold nonsense, here’s a break down on what the sheet says:
- HTC Fuze will launch on October 23nd
- Motorola V9x (new V9 with GPS) launches on October 2nd
- Samsung Mirage i907 (basically our version of the Omnia) launches on October 21st
- Pantech C740 in red, navy, and green launches on October 14th
- Nokia 6650 launches in red and silver on October 23rd
- BlackBerry 8320 in that totally cool color launches on October 21st
- BlackBerry Pearl in pink launches on October 2nd
- The BlackBerry Curve in “burnt orange” is pushed to “2009″.
- The regular BlackBerry Curve is discontinued
- The Palm Treo 680s are discontinued
Now for the weird stuff… this sheet lists the BlackBerry Bold with a November ETA. We’re not so sure what’s going on, but we’re sticking very firm to our October 2nd launch date on AT&T. There you have it, guys! Larger image after the jump.
Well, I just called two stores. One said sometime in November, the other said sometime in October. So really…no one knows crap, lol.
Just to follow up on an earlier question — if I buy a an unlocked Bold from say Asia, will it still work in the US if I use my existing AT & T plan? (which is only for a regular Nokia)
Am also considering signing up for the Curve ATT plan and then just using the Sim card on the unlocked Bold…any advice apprec!
This is ridiculous. I know RIM hasn’t made a 3g phone, but come on. If i told one of my customers I would do something and 5 months later still hasn’t happened, i’d be out the door. I’m going to get the iphone
The BOLD is a world phone so yes, it will work if you use your asian BOLD an the AT&T network.
Hey guys I work for att, and noticed a couple of weird things about that sheet. It looks like our product sheet but I have never seen it say ETA then a month beside it. It usually always says at launch. Also all the other phones have there SKU’s beside them except the bold. Almost looks like it was photo shopped in. Also Berryfan, if you get the bold from Asia the voice will probably work, but I doubt the data will.
I have a bold I picked up in the UK. I live in Chicago and it works just fine. You do have to update the software to .147 or later to have a workign device without going crazy. I have had really good luck with 3g both in the City and in Naperville (35 miles West.) I think the only way you are going to get one of these quickly is to go overseas!
Hey Eric, if you work at att then when is the bold coming out?
I heard a rumor that RIM is pulling the Bold from the US. AT&T is expected to be in the cold as RIM is moving to launch Storm on Verizon in November. Any truth to this?

do you know for sure if the pink pearl is coming out? I called my local AT&T store to ask them and they had no idea. I just got the red one almost a month ago and I want to know if I should trade it in now for the pink one if it really does come out on Oct. 2nd?
Bold is out in the UK as from the 15th of this month, I doubt its an issue with Rim on the 3G front as the UK market has had a 3G BB in the form of the 8707 for over a year, I read somewhere that iPhones where using a major part of AT&T’s bandwidth and they are trying to upgrade thier infrastructure, Either way its Bold for me can wait to get my gruby little hands on the BGR Bold
I’m starting to hate atnt fucken cock suckers they run their mouths like their the shit but, they can’t even give a release date for the blackberry bold. They need to stop all the software problem bullshit cause john Mayer got his bold a long time ago waybefore Canada and he doesn’t seem to bitch about it. The only reason I got a contract with stupid atnt is cause of the bold but if the bold does not release on oct 2 I’m cancelling with them so if atnt is reading this fuck you.
ATT wants to wait and release the Bold as late as possible becuase they supposedly have a 90 sole rights to sell it after that t-mo can pick it up and sell it. They want to capture al the sales for it durring the holidays.

Actually it wasn’t Verizon’s decision to NOT go with the iPhone. There were coverage and data issues that Verizon just couldn’t overcome. Not to mention, Apple didn’t want to sink all that money into a dying technology (CDMA). This was all published in the NY Times with direct quotes from a Verizon spokesperson telling everyone that they couldn’t meet the coverage and data requirements set by Apple, not to mention they wanted to market the iPhone for well over $800 on contract.
List of release dates seems wrong already, says the new V9 will be released on the 2nd it’s 11:06pm and no sign of any new V9 at all. Not sure but I’m betting these images are photoshoped.

I just came from AT&T store, the person told me he would have his Fuze today, at the training, but instead he brought up a booklet about fuze and stuff.. one thing that I saw in the booklet was that if you get a call and you want to put it silent you just flip the phone, he would have his on Monday the 20th, and he told me the store should be getting it by 23 or later this month.
I wonder if at&t will do the black friday sale with the fuze, maybe they will exempt it.
When is the Samsung Omnia touch phone for AT&T supposed to be coming out to the U.S.?
I’m here in the US. I’ve had a Bold for over a month now – brought in from Canada. I slipped in my AT&T sim and it immediately came up on 3G, had all my contacts, etc. and is SUPER! Yes, it has the occasional hiccup – the OS isn’t perfect yet. I have no doubt that when RIM releases them to AT&T there will be a new OS and I’ll download it. That will remedy the few *very, very* minor things which need to be corrected…none of which affect data or even primary operations of the phone. For anyone planning to buy one – you will DEFINITELY love it! I am VERY picky about my cellphone and this one is excellent! The Blackberrys have often been my favorites but this one is even heads above those I’ve had in the past. You’ll love it!

Hey when is the HTC Fuze suppose to release. I relied on this sheet and waited for a long time for fuze and finally I dont see any release. Man your turned out to be crap.

They say, “the early bird catches the worm”, but neither bird do came.. I would have gotten the Samsung Omnia(Mirage) only if it had came out already.. but since it’s comming out around the same time as the Blackberry Storm.. I would have to say sorry Samsung Omnia, hello Blackberry Storm!!!
