AT&T launch updates: HTC Fuze, Samsung Mirage, Bold moved to November?

Bear with us folks. We’ve just got ahold of an AT&T product sheet dated September 17th. Also known as “the most up to date doc you’ve seen”. Before we get into the BlackBerry Bold nonsense, here’s a break down on what the sheet says:
- HTC Fuze will launch on October 23nd
- Motorola V9x (new V9 with GPS) launches on October 2nd
- Samsung Mirage i907 (basically our version of the Omnia) launches on October 21st
- Pantech C740 in red, navy, and green launches on October 14th
- Nokia 6650 launches in red and silver on October 23rd
- BlackBerry 8320 in that totally cool color launches on October 21st
- BlackBerry Pearl in pink launches on October 2nd
- The BlackBerry Curve in “burnt orange” is pushed to “2009″.
- The regular BlackBerry Curve is discontinued
- The Palm Treo 680s are discontinued
Now for the weird stuff… this sheet lists the BlackBerry Bold with a November ETA. We’re not so sure what’s going on, but we’re sticking very firm to our October 2nd launch date on AT&T. There you have it, guys! Larger image after the jump.

you all do know the SAR for the Bold is still “illegal” in this country right? look it up, they never fixed it

BGR what about that memo you received from an insider at AT&T that stated a October XX, 2008 release? You posted that like 10 days ago…so which one is it October or November?

I’m not much on the Blackberry Crazy, but I’m pretty stoked to see Sony Ericcson finally bring the w760 to ATT. I heard that it was supposed to release end of Q2 2008. I have waited long enough!

So…. i work for the magenta company and ironically enough i actually got some scoop from a couple of blackberry reps. turns out that the iphone 3g is eating up att’s 3g capabilities because it has no servers of its own for any of the phones services therefore just chewing up bandwith (i believe there’s an article of this somewhere in some new york journal…) so, att is currently scrambling to upgrade their network to be able to handle the added bandwith another popular 3g phone would occupy on their network. another stat on what i read too stated that 1 iphone 3g uses as much bandwith on att wcdma network as 20 bolds would theoretically take up. so, therefore the november release would be right on par with what that article stated and what the bb rep told me. sadly this does push back the bold for t-mobile because att has 90 days dibs on the handset from the official launch. and the rep did confirm (for anyone who cares) that the bold for tmobile will have the 1700/2100 mhz bands on them…. anyways, just thought i’d share that with people….

I am desparetly waiting for HTC Fuse. This time AT&T delays the launching date. why is it so?
I hope Verizon launched this handset soon.

If the Storm was anyplace other than Verizon I would Dump my 5 AT&T accounts and jump on it, even though it’s a touch screen phone but no phone is worth the major downgrade from AT&T to Verizon, I left them once because of poor coverage, never again.

AT&T has an Excusive for 6 months on the Bold, so by releasing it late they have it for x-mas and a little to the New Year. By the time the bold is out for 6 months AT&T will release the New Duo II, Tilt II and other models. At the end of the day its all marketing.

Obviously RIM has legal duct-tape over their mouths regarding a release date, so maybe one thing that can be agreed upon is that AT&T is 1) run by asshats when it comes to PR communications about pending products and 2) run by even bigger asshats in managing their network.
Bet the farm (or condo, for urbanites) that Apple’s FailPhone is solely behind the delay for hogging up the network vs. working out any “Bold kinks” and AT&T itself still can’t even guesstimate a RANGE to issue a press release. My dream is an Apple fanboy and an AT&T exec getting twin labotomies and broadcasting it on YouTube. What supercedes Epic Fail? I feel a demotivational poster coming on.

I have two. The first is that consumers shouldn’t have to resort to leaked documents about a highly anticipated product in lieu of a nice handy-dandy PR statement that’ll quash the rumor mill. The second is that I apparently forgot to take my meds this morning. Crap.

As an at&t employee (retail sales), I cannot really offer that much speculation on the Bold. Our area data manager said that the phone was still being tested and was slated for an October 15th release, but even he doesn’t know for sure. I personally like the fact that they’re at least taking the time to work out the issues they might have been having with it, rather than just let it loose and then have to release software updates every week for it. WhyPhone fanboy my ass, I gave mine back up for my work 8820 after a month and the bold will be replacing my personal curve.

AT&T is fucking up. Get off your ass and release the bold already!

@Yaaaaaaah
I hear you on working out kinks but really, how many problems could the bold actually have, this is the same hardware unit cleared for release by every other major carrier in the world. Since when did ATT become the gold standard in QA? It just doesnt make that much sense. Tons of phones pass acceptance and still have issues… that trend will continue. There are other forces at play here … maybe its strategy

@GF…
Concur. Especially when we’re talking about a phone that can be upgraded like any other smartphone.
I’ll sign a performance waiver until the issues are fixed, and then upgrade to the latest software release.
After that though I’ll start whining if it isn’t perfect.

Why is everyone speculating on what they think the reason is, do you think one more stupid random speculation on here is going to make a difference. They have their reasons for releasing it when they will, you dont know what they are and thats all there is to it.
You guys just keep repeating the same nonsense over and over again.

I work at AT&T store and personally spoke to one of our regional representatives. He said all the dates online are indeed ‘rumors’ BUT October is the month EVERYONE he has heard in the company (lower and higher in the corporate heirarchy). So believe what you want to believe. I want the Bold in October. But then again rumors are rumors. AT&T didnt even make an official press release on the Bold so everything remains in speculation until an official Press Release has been seen. You can whine, or be patient… The phone will be released no matter what. If you really want this phone (i really do!!) then you’ll wait.
