BlackBerry Storm: we’ve been had

I’ll keep this short, but as most of you that are following the BlackBerry Storm developments over the past couple days know, Verizon has “introduced” the BlackBerry Storm internally. They even published a coming soon page complete with Storm image. The page was then removed today, coincidentally after every major site that mattered had linked to it and posted. Does anyone not see the scam being played out before our eyes? Introduction “internally” and then removing the coming soon page? No press release, no official announcement… am I the only one who’s seeing the bigger picture?

The phone will be out before Thanksgiving.Anytime Verizon sends an internal email promoting a phone it’s no more than two months away.There will be a a special offer on their website to pre-order the phone before Verizon starts selling the device online or at VZW stores.

I don’t get your point either BG. When the 8830 was preping for release verizon had a similar posting on their website that allowed you to request e-mail updates. there was no release date then either on the 8830.
So your point makes no sense to me!!!

… There doing exactly what they want us to do. They want us to talk about it, they want us to get excited about it! and here we are talking about it.
As much as I can’t wait for this phone to come out, if I were verizon i’d do the same thing … (hopefully they don’t read this). Ha.

Actually, the rep I spoke with after receiving my upgrade card in the mail said it was due in store the 1st of November. If that’s a late release, I’ll take it.
