MMS from ifind2 is the best; they now have tethering so you can use your i Phone as a modem, what else can you ask for. Stop waiting on AT&T, even if the MMS comes out on the 25th it will still have lots of bugs and glitches.

Are you nuts. Some people need the mms for there job to foward real time conditions to get help with engineering etc without whipping out a laptop or leaving the job site etc.

Thanks for the step by step on how to use MMS on my iphone. That is basically how I have been trying to use it, and I thought, there must be an easier way. I have had to resort to carrying a pad of paper and a pencil to write down the cryptic login and passwords to use my state of the art iPhone.

I don’t use MMS much, however, I do recieve a lot of mms messages from friends. Most recently from my cousin who took a pic of there new baby & sent it via MMS to everyone in the family with the note, better quality pictures to follow in your email. Which is how most people use MMS. You whiners who are moaning that “people don’t use MMS” probably don’t see a use for a camera or videocam on your phone either. Its convienience (ie the ability to communicate with the non-smartphone having public) & its easy as hell to implement in the OS. Its just something Apple couldn’t be bothered to do. Like Cut & Paste. Which incidentally, I can’t live without so I refuse to ditch my blackberry for an iPhone & will continue to carry my blackberry & my ipod until Apple gets it right. Get with the program Apple! It a bloody software patch for crying out loud!!!

HAHAHAHAHA UTTERLY PRICELESS!! My Sentiments EXACTLY! I still think one of the most standard features for 98% of the cell phones is still lacking in the iPhone. I along with you have used Email as my alternative to MMS because I had a T-Mobile Sidekick which also didn’t support MMS. Its not the sending of pictures that is the MAJOR flaw in the iPhone in my opinion. Its receiving pictures. I have idiot friends that take a picture of everything they find interesting and it’s like pulling teeth to get them to understand how to send a pic via email on their phones. They just shoot, select a contact and send! Simple enuf, but we have to find a desktop PC/MAC or a pen and a piece of paper to view the pics because of the idiotic AT&T site they make you go to, to be able to see the picture. The site itself always seems to be bogged down or unresponsive which doesn’t help the matter at all! hahaha U would think AT&T and Apple would have come up with a better solution for retrieving photos that are sent to iPhones. At the least a direct link from ur text message that autofills the login and password for you so u don’t have to memorize or write down the random generated login info! Just my two cents.

the iphone is great for music vid ease of use and flashy looks it sucks for pretty much anything else safari is a great browser but skyfire is way better.. the iphone is missing over a dozen basic features there is no excuse all my adult family and friends use mms to send baby pics and etc so saying its useless is dumb and at two megapixels that almost makes the cam useless its not good enough to leave your digital camera so u use it mainly fa pic mail but u cant even use it fa that… lol stop being in denial.

I agree it would be great if we had Copy & Paste, but if Apple wanted it available it’d be here. I read some place where they believe its a security issue. Sending pic’s via txt msg’s would be great also, but unless you hack the iphone thats out. Just the corporate bigshots getting richer and richer, and the consumer paying more and getting less. AT&T is NOT the best network by far and there 3G is horrible, absolutely horrible

This app is JUNK. The recipiant still has to access a website to view the pic message. Thus, this is not picture mess. at all. Apple needs to put forth more effort on the comsumers wants and less on those 2.0.1 bug fixes. I mean really….what does it really take to get a little MMS action on the iPhone???

First of all, there are a lot of 30 somethings that use, “Dude.”

Second, MMS is more of a social convenience. Granted, the quality sucks and you are somewhat correct in you assumption that most people who have a cell phone also have an e-mail address. BUT, most people don’t have E-mail on their cellphone. Others only can read their email on their cellphone. There in, lies the problem.

Some times, you just want to send a funny picture around. Case in point, your on a call and you stumble on a funny situation. Say a fire alarm at the college dorm and girls are in bath towels. That’s when you take a picture and send it through MMS. I don’t need a high quality picture and I CERTAINLY don’t want it on my PC where my wife can see it. I look at it, I laugh, I delete it, I go about my day.

Besides, what is so derogatory about being 13? or 15? or 20? Is it cool to be a stiff now? “Ohh, I’m on the straight and narrow, so I am somehow better than you!” I am old and I can act like a complete immature jackass, and I LIKE IT. I get a kick out of it, my family and friends get a kick out of it. If you don’t, guess what? I don’t care! I built a potato cannon in my basement out of PVC a grill igniter and some starter fluid. Why? Because I saw it on YouTube and I like stuff that goes boom. If that makes me seem 13 to you, oh insignificant anonymous person on a random website comment system, then so be it….. DUDE!

Most of us over the age of 13 don’t really care about MMS. Especially since you can send pictures via email. Who has a cell phone but no email account? Sending MMS is silly since the picture quality is degraded even further and you have to pay for it. Send them free via email and quit paying for silly services like MMS. Sure your old filp phone can send MMS but it’s such a cheesy function who cares. I’ll bet your old flip phone can’t play DVD movies.

I agree with C&P. It should be there. I have no understanding why it wouldn’t be unless they just can’t figure out how to do it easily. I’m sure it will come. It’s just a small sacrifice to make for what you gain.

What I don’t understand is why you bought the iPhone in the first place if MMS and C&P were so important to you. And if you don’t own an iPhone, you are just a bitchy troll who shouldn’t waste time posting negs about a device that you don’t own.

Come on now MMS has to be the lamest feature on any Device, why?? cause it’s crappy on any device, Heck people don’t even use that crap on real desktop Pcs why bother with implementing it to a mobile phone on slow ass cell networks. Thank god Apple doesn’t listen to all these dumb ideas, now if the iphone had a front camera and Apple could implement ichat with the same or nearly the same quality as it does on the mac, that’s a different story, but why bother with a crappy MMS feature that’s already dead when you can work on making something better

Reminds of the Tmobile sidekick where it didn’t support mms for the longest time. The sidekicks supports mms now with video after 4 gen of sidekicks. Its just kindof disappointed that a new phone like the Iphone can’t mms. I really hope it doesn’t take apple 4 gens of iphones to be release before they will offer mms support out of the box.
