I never said I was tech savvy, I am far from it. I am still using my Blackberry 8800 that I had for over a year and am currently happy living without having the greatest phone techlology. If I was more tech savvy I would have gotten an unlocked phone ages ago instead of just waiting for T-mobile to offer a phone build with the latest techloogy.

Your commuication skills are just fine and you don’t need my help. Your posts are fine without any grammer issues or typos. I wish I could say the same about mine.

I am sorry I often forget that most readers of BGR are very tech savvy. Your definition of “modern” is quit a bit different from mine. I always thought of myself as being modern but now thinking about it I don’t own a blue-ray player or a HD flat screen and am still using windows xp. Lol.

It is very possible that more BGR readers agree with your definition of “modern” then they do of mine, so maybe I was a bit harsh with my last comment so I going to repost it using your definition of “modern” I hope you like it, I had you in mind when I
wrote it.

I am not sure why you and others are just singling out T-mobile for not selling “modern” phones. It’s not their fault that hardly any phone manufactures are making “modern” phones for the US market. Att who is known for having the best phones in the US only sells one “modern” phone the HTC Tilt and its been out for over a year. All other ATT’s so called high end phones such as the Iphone 3g, the Blackjack 2, Samsung Vu,the Moto Q and the soon to be released Blackberry Bold all have piss poor 2 meg cameras. If you want a new “modern” phone with 3G, at less a 3-5 meg camera, AGPS and decent bluetooth and wifi suppory you need to get an unlocked European phone or just wait a month or so until T-Mobile launches the Android phone.

First off my response was to Gregs comment saying that Tmobiles phones where not modern. All the Blackberrys they current sell with the exception of the 8700g would be called modern.

I agree that just changing the collor doesn’t make it a brand new blackberry it’s still 8120. It has the same hardware and software as any other 8120. Now saying it is not a new phone is far fetch. I wouldnt call the 8120 revolutionary like the iphone or the 8100 when they first launched but it is a new blackberry and is not just the old pearl with Wifi built in.

Here are the main diffrences between the old pearl and the new model with its improvements in software and hardware.

1. Improved camera to 2.0
2. Bigger buttons
3. Wifi with UMA support
4. Video recording
5. 3.5 audio jack
6. Much improved media player
7. Much improved browser
8. Stereo bluetooth suport
9. Supports upto 8g micro sd card
10. Don’t need to remove batery to get to media card.

And definitely having it other than gray, while a good color, is a good option to have.

Did you have problems counting to 3? Modern Phones you say. The 8120 is a mordern phone. Until the Bold, Flip Pearl or Storm gets release here the State the 8120 it newest blackberry currently availble in the US.

Yeah T-mobile might of had some issues in the past with their phones being a bit outdated compared to ATTs phone line-up but I could say the same thing is true about Sprint and Verizon compared to ATT aswell.
The reason for Tmobiles being limited on the type of phones they were offering was caused by tnem not having any type of 3g network. If you compare Tmobiles non-3g phones to ATTs non-3g line up with the exception of the iphone of course they are very similar.
