Google launches Google Mobile App for BlackBerry
You Google-loving BlackBerry users have a new app to install on your handset as Google has officially launched its Google Mobile App for BlackBerry. More or less an aggregator/launcher, the app bundles Google search together with Google’s other BlackBerry apps and its online mobile services. Integrated within a single interface is Google Mail for BlackBerry, Google Maps for BlackBerry, and Google Sync for BlackBerry. If you setup your Google username and password, you can also get one-click access to Google News, Google Reader, Google Calendar, Google Docs, Picasa Web albums and Google notebook. Finally, no more annoying login screens (yay!) which may be the most compelling reason to download this simple launcher masquerading as a full fledged app.

I’ve seen this mentioned on 12 blogs now, but that link (m.google.com) does not take me to a Blackberry download. What’s up with that?

I have it loaded. Not sure if I like having gmail and gmap an additional click away from the top screen—though it is a nice interface.
the m.google.com will only work to download if your emulation mode is set to BLACKBERRY BROWSER
Sounds like Google is giving us more stuff for our phones to keep them top of mind for when android comes up.
Yay! I would love this app. on my future Blackberry! I can’t wait for the Pearl Flip and the Bold to come out! I love Blackberry’s! lol. BG you rock!

I live in the UK & we have had the Bold for a few weeks now. I tried to download it from my phone & got the message “Sorry, Google Mobile App does not work on your BlackBerry 9000″
Shit.
Finally the Blackberry users (and abusers…) get some good ole’ google love. That’s sweet…

I am also in the UK and go the same “Sorry, Google Mobile App does not work on your BlackBerry 8800.” Seems to be a fairly limited release.
Well that is good to know Mr.Rolex. I can now add google to my list of corporations i dislike at the moment.
Can I use the Google Mobile App for Blackberry through a wifi connection? Or does it always run through a network data connection?
google app does not work on blackberry bold without data plan ,
i would like to use it on my offices wifi , and my home wifi.
