*According to the “ninja” who “reviewed” it. Like we reported, the whole screen is a button, and the method of navigating the phone involves using the physical buttons, and then touching and clicking the screen to select something. Basically a hot mess. Man, that on-screen keyboard looks like death ran over twice. Skip to around 2:55 for the BlackBerry Thunder / Storm action. Comments please…. ?

This doesn’t surprise me at all that BoyGenius comes out with leaked information/video about the Blackberry Storm and rips it apart. This site is filled with a bunch of apple huggers. I have yet to hear one positive thing about the Storm from this website.
Oh well, I guess the only thing you guys are good for is being the first to show us a sneak peak at the phone. So thank you for that.. and only that.

I didn’t think it was that bad. there’s still at least a month and a half until this phone comes out. What do you think went on with the iPhone? You never saw pre-release models of the iPhone or even the new firmware updates. Apple does a much better job of keeping tabs on things and that’s probably why there is always so much more hype around any of their devices (people just don’t know about them). Just because it looked a little unpolished its probably because it is. The phone is not so bad and the guy complained about haptic feedback? That’s what differentiates this touch device from others. Give RIM another month to get this ironed out and it will become better, but still not perfect. No device is perfect especially one that is lacking a polished UI.

If you guys realize that with BB, the trackwheel and trackball both require a click to bring up the menu after you highlight an icon or item. Thats all that the “screen click” is doing. It was a short half a**ed review anyway, and who knows the date it was filmed. Ive heard good and bad about this phone, and am on the line between the iphone with horrid service and no MMS, copy/paste, but sync perfect with my mac, and waiting for the Storm with superior service and prob BB reliability, but prob issue syncing with my mac. Wait to actually see how you yourself can navigate the phone.

Wow, if any of the devices are true, looks like only Google/Android is left to save us. That Touch Pro look like a big piece of Mortar and the designs on the Storm look like they were made by some 4th grader. Everyone is just hanging themselves with these products that are just making apple look better and better.

Good God BGR do you have no shame? From everything else that insiders have said elsewhere I have a very hard time believing this is a recent build of the hardware/os. What did they do get firmware from last spring? I’m getting really sick of BGR and their AT&T Loving Apple hugging articles on this site. I’ll give you props for leaking information but your biases are so transparent it’s all I can do to not puke sometimes.

Thanks for the video BG but I think this is one device people will actually have to see and try before deciding if it works for them. I have an iPhone and the biggest complaint is that my fingers constantly hit other keys. This sort of solves that problem, doesn’t it? This “ninja” review is hardly a review at all.
And, yes, I’m an Apple fanboy but I think RIM could find a base that actually likes this design. And, no, I’m not a Verizon customer nor do I plan on switching to them but I would very much be interested in sneaking into a store when this is released and seeing what I think of it myself.

If you look closely to when he first shows us that you can “push” the screen and it switches to the on-screen keyboard…well, for a second the UI of the keyboard looks very nice and fits well with the rest of the UI, but then it quickly changes to that dull gray UI.

The phone itself actually looks like it’s performing very well and looks promising. For starters, no one knows how early/new the model he actually has is. It could be the first prototype for all we know and the device could be leaps and bounds past that point.
I don’t know why everyone eats everything up on the net so much. Jeez.

who cares what the actual keyboard looks like. those who are looking forward to this phone are excited about the browser and multimedia features. the aestetics of the keyboard is right around the last thing i’m worried about. everyone who comments here are so quick to point out the negatives and say how much it sucks. let the final build come in and then pass judgement.

I think that was a locked model no doubt. That would explain why nothing i repeat nothing was mentioned about the browser which would be huge. I believe the browser is what is gonna make or break this. I will be selling my iphone soon.

wow guys… cmon… BGR has been a little hard on the thun… i mean, storm… but you guys seriously think that this device is gonna be up to par to the iPhone…
I will be the first to admit that the iPhone has a bunch of flaws but my god, the blackberry looks like a small upgrade to the LG Vu (which sucks balls)
Stop being a Blackberry Vigilante people and just go on the facts, RIM was great at the non touchscreen devices… this one is gonna fall hard
