the inspiron mini 9 does have integrated 3g...the link in my post above, points to a previous post by Zach that talks about it.

what I tried to point out in this post is that the Japanese flyer is the only 3g bundle (subsidy pricing when you buy it bundled with a 3g data plan) we have seen for the inspiron 9. Like you said, it is expected that Dell will partner up with AT&T or T-Mo to offer something similar in the US.

Actually, according to a post I saw on Engadget the other day, the new Dell Mini 9 netbook actually HAS 3G integrated, and Dell isn't even advertising it.

Seemed very strange, but the thought was that maybe they were in talks with ATT/T-mo and didn't want to advertise it until they had a deal worked out for marketing?

I don't know if anyone truly confirmed the 3G in the Mini 9, but supposedly that was the case.

I was always skeptical of integrated 3G cards. Number one would be the reception. Two would be the advancements in the cards, I always like having the newest card when AT&T gives speed bumps across their 3G network. That and I use a lot of different computers. I have a MBP and a Lenovo T61P - I would have to pay two different data cards.
