BlackBerry OS 4.5 hitting mid-September for AT&T users
Just when you thought you couldn’t wait any longer, we go and snag an internal PowerPoint shot of some super-duper BlackBerry document. OS 4.5 is currently targeted for a mid-September launch on AT&T for the BlackBerry 8120, BlackBerry 8820, BlackBerry 8310, and BlackBerry 8300. We’ve covered the updates in the new OS, but for a quick recap, you’ve got HTML email and formatting, remote server search, free/busy calendar lookup, video recording, improved media player, and Office document editing on the devices. Mid-September it is, with those devices shipping pre-loaded in mid-October with OS 4.5. Click through for the larger shot.

I don’t believe 4.5 is out for Verizon. It looks as though AT&T will be the first one to release it for their blackberries.

Any idea why the 8110 isn’t listed as one of the phones that it will be released for?

David, I installed 4.5.0.77 on my girlfriend’s Verizon 8330 a week ago. Actually a slightly more recent release than 4.5.0.69 that I’ve been running on my AT&T 8310 for close to a month now.

I have 4.5.0.81 installed on my AT&T BB Curve 8310, no issues as of yet… I’ve been running it for almost a week now. No problems yet… still wish the official AT&T release was out… it’s the 26th and no OS release yet… c’mon AT&T!!!

So it is now Nov ‘08 and AT&T does not have the updated software posted on their site. Anyone know where else I could get it easily?
