BlackBerry 8320 hitting AT&T this month, gets darker

If you ever thought the gold BlackBerry 8320 on T-Mobile was too feminine welcome to the club, you might be in for a treat assuming you’re an AT&T subscriber. In addition to scoring the OS 4.5 release info, we also came across this bit of information surrounding the 8320 launch. It’s “targeted” for launch in the last week of September in a sapphire-blue finish. We don’t have pricing at the moment, but we can’t imagine it breaking the bank, ya know? The good news is that the BlackBerry 8320 on AT&T will indeed launch with OS 4.5, and since it has Wi-Fi, you’ll be able to enjoy one of the 17,000 AT&T hotspots. Larger shot if you are interested, after the break.

It’s amazing that they cannot get their sh*t together with the Bold. We’ll have 4500 variations on the 83’s before we get a Bold.

The hell with that noise. Might be time to try Win Mo again and hang with the Q Global for a while.

And no built-in GPS… Seriously, WTF RIM? 2MP camera? Starting to sound like an iPhone.

You mean to tell me that they can’t add GPS & WiFi with a 5MP shooter in the same size? I’ve seen smaller phones carry all three. If they can do it, so can you.

    I like the color though.

Also b/g WiFi is so, 3 years ago. When we getting 802.11n?

MadMike, the 8320 is not a new phone. It’s specs are well known, why the surprise?

The Gold BlackBerry 8320 on T-Mobile was NOT feminine!!!
Some people like that color and it represents PROSPERITY to them. Hint: Eygptians wore it.

I like that they underlined “targeted” in the launch frame. It’s as though they know they’ll miss the date, and that this document will be leaked…

I don’t think this effects the Bold’s release – it does however point out the Javelin isn’t coming to AT&T at least for a few more months.

Who really cares about this device going to ATT. It the same as T-mobiles 8320 just diffrent collar and most likly by the time this comes out Tmobile will have 4.5 approved for their curves aswell. I have been saying this forever but here i go again. With out a network that supports UMA why bother getting a wifi blackberry. The wifi on the blackberry not using UMA is limited just to hi-speed web browsing, email will still be using GPRS/EDGE. When using UMA, you will be able to use wifi to get hi-speed internet, email, IM and maps downloads. You can do the exact same things with wifi as you can do using just GPRS/EDGE. Being a rep for Tmobile I often have to explain to customer why they cant access their emails, maps or IM aplications using wifi if not subscribed to the blackberry servces.

I know its not new. I’m not really surprised. I just hold on to this small, insignificant slither of hope that someone with a f*cking clue at RIM is reading these going… “Hrm, maybe we should have GPS and Wifi and put a camera that doesn’t suck sweaty donkey balls…., eh?”

GPS + WiFi is not on the 8310 or the 8320, not a shock. The Bold has both, whenever that comes out.

I bet you drive a bright gold VW Rabbit driving down the street throwing skittles out the window screaming “Taste the rainbow, BITCHES!”

The 70’s called, they want their taste in color back.

Yea, there must be significant 3G problems, that’s why just about every other major carrier in the world has already released the Bold.

ATT is just slow and really pissing me off.

I like the new color, but I guess its clear that the Bold won’t be released anytime soon. Maybe ATT will just keep dropping color refreshes of the Curve straight into 2009.

that is an incorrect statement. I have the 8820 on AT&T and I use wi-fi when I’m roaming outside the country to check all my e-mail and BB messenger and all that for free adn have never paid for a single kb of roaming data. all UMA does is allow you to make calls over the wi-fi network
