Consider this a pretty solid bit of info, though it has not been double or triple confirmed like we normally like to do, and well, we saw what happened with Rogers. We’ve heard from pretty high up source at AT&T that they’re aiming to have the BlackBerry Bold in stores on October 2nd. That’s a Thursday, so we’re assuming the full launch would be on the following Monday, the 6th. Let’s see how this pans out…

Dang, I just home my old SE holds out until then. I’m ready to make the “Blackberry” plunge and am waiting for their 3G model. Makes sense though, they’ll want to make sure that all the connection issues with the iPhone are corrected before they unlease another high-bandwidth phone on the network.
BTW, they’ve ‘updated’ that ATT announcement. Previously they’d had an option to give a ‘notify me’ e-mail address and that’s been removed.

I like the way they say “The BlackBerry Bold 9000 is expected to be available later this year”… they are obviously keeping their options (wide) open!

Giz is saying Sept. 12 95% confirmed. Also stating that the Bold accessories for US go live Sept 10th. I believe you BG…but I hope your wrong too….

“Giz is saying Sept. 12 95% confirmed.”
Giz is also saying that their source is an AT&T store employee. Are you kidding me? 95% when your source is a box jockey? Fuckin idiots.

I guess I’ll just wait for the Storm on Verizon. AT&T is crap. I hate this exclusive crap. I’ve been waiting for the bold for so long. I just feel kinda jipped now.

This actually makes sense. Blackberry has a commercial out now about “the best selling smart phone/ pda”, and that information is based on quarters. Since they are hoping for a major blowout when it is finally released, they might as well bump the release back 2 weeks and have all of the sales in Q4. That way they can continue their bestselling claim.

WTF??!?!?!?!?!?

Right now everyone is bitching about having to wait, then when it comes out, the bitching will be that they released it too soon before it had every bug worked out.
What a spoiled generation we are.

From July to Sept/Oct? that sucks. Is this RIM or At&t’s fault? No one thinks iPhone had anything to do with it?
Exclusivity sucks sour balls like no other. The hardware people are dumb as hell… does RIM really think that people are going to ditch their providers and move to At&t just for this phone? Most people are locked into contracts in the first place. I would love to see an analysis of such a thing.
Wake up RIM, HTC, et al.! You could be making much more money if you dropped exclusivity deals! F**K the providers! Providers = Rapists. Imagine the revenue gained had RIM just released the Bold on all carriers at the same time.

Are you fuckin kidding me man!!?? Damn you RIM and AT&T!!!! I’m getting tired of this shit!
Ok, now that, that’s outta me…I can’t wait for that day to come around…stupid September needs to go away quickly!
