has anyone used this phone in usa yet?
i bought this phone in england on my 3 contract and had it unlocked. used it for a few days on t-mobile uk, everything was working fine. since i came over here (california) the phone hasn’t found a signal and says ‘no plmn’ when i try to manually find a network. i’ve tried it with t-mobile usa and at&t sim cards. has anybody else had this problem or used the phone over here?
hope i haven’t wasted my money

There’s one question,
will it have a browser that can match Skyfire???

This is absolutely amazing and if it does come out to att then it is mine since it can only go to att or t-mo at this point.
The only issue I have is that it’s an LG phone. LG’s have terrible battery life and are crap so it’s going to have to get a 10/10 on every review for me to get one.

I cant believe no one has mentioned this. Why are all the new phones copying the iphone look..rounder edges with the same silver band around the casing even the bold has it.

IF the specs are correct and not a purposeful false leak (to draw attention to the phone), then this phone will be in the thousands. i say 1500 or so…canadian that is. And even thought the can $ is almost the same as the US $ the US price will probably be 1100. Crazy phone. Too bad its an LG thought.

Why is this worse than the i8510? Can someone explain it to me pls. As far as I know this LG would have a better screen quality due to the 240×400 instead of 240×320 resolution and larger screen size.

I might be wrong though. Thoughts?

Wow, a lot of people are spending tons of money and time investing it on googles new mobile OS. I really hope it can live up to all of the hype and if can it might even be able surpass iphone sales world wide. Even BGR finds it hard to talk about android without mentioning the number four US wireless company lol. Investing in android might just be one of best moves Tmobile made only second to UMA and @home services.

The phone sounds like a beast. But lemme tell you, by past experience, what will finally happen:

a) It’ll prolly be released some time around Q1 of 2009
b) It will end up losing 1 or more of the above mentioned properties (my bet would be on it losing/not having 3G 850/1900 for america)
c) It’ll come in at over a $1000.

If the specs are true and I have no doubt to believe them….this thing is a BEAST. Now give me exchange support for push Email (microsoft style) and good battery life…and this thing is GOLDEN.
