Rogers launches BlackBerry Bold today, maybe available tomorrow…

Canucks, your wait is over! Well, almost… According to several commenters who have chimed in, the long-awaited Blackberry Bold has been released by Rogers today but they can’t seem to find any in stock. Hmm, a little déjà vu, iPhone users? Maybe RIM and Rogers were too busy blowing up balloons for their celebratory launch and presentation, but anxious customers won’t have to wait much longer. According to RTT News, Best Buy Canada will be carrying the Blackberry Bold 9000 in stores all across the country starting tomorrow. So for those of you a little disappointed to find your local Rogers Wireless backordered this morning, or those who just don’t want to bang up their current Blackberry to win a new one, fear not! Head over to Best Buy tomorrow and you may be able to snag one up for $399.99 if you’re willing to sign the next 3 years of your life over to a minimum $45/month plan. Otherwise, the Bold retails for $599.99 without contract.

Thanks, to everyone who sent this in!

Ha! Read the reviews! The display is one area where the BOLD consistently pulls ahead of the iPhone!

It’s funny how people think that a feature, like the camera, makes or breaks buying the phone. I mean duh….you don’t buy a iPhone or BlackBerry because of the good/bad camera in it! What a stupid argument. You buy a device for what you want to do with it and if any of you clueless people buy one of these as your main source of picture taking, then you should have your head examined for not buying a real digital camera.

I bought a Rogers(Canada) Blackberry Bold from Rogers in Toronto Ontario and then Unlocked it at http://www.FreeYourCellphone.com

now for $599(bold) + $19(unlock) I am using it in Newyork with no problems what so ever.

Well worth it rather than paying 900+ from ebay

I am dissapointed. $399 with a contract? That is EIGHT times the price I payed for my Blackberry 8320, and the $45 data plan is ridiculous. I pay $20/m for unlimited data. I still don’t see what is so much better about the Bold than any other Blackberry. Here is what I want:
    A BETTER BROWSER
I hate Blackberrys crappy browser. It looks terrible, it is slow, can’t download much, etc.
There is no way I am gonna pay $399 for a Blackberry that really isn’t much different than the ones they had 3 years ago.
