BlackBerry Bold giveaway! Get one for your hood!
Since RIM completely screwed the pooch on this one (you know, like, delays for seven years?), we’re going to try and make it up to you! We’re giving away 5 BlackBerry Bolds for your local service provider. The 5 we are giving away are: AT&T, T-Mobile Germany, Rogers, Orange UK, and PCCW HK. The winner of the AT&T Bold won’t get their unit until launch since all devices we’re giving away are purchased from the respective carriers. You’ve got to play to win they say. Not so much when you’re dealing with a BGR giveaway, though. To enter, just email us a photo of your current BlackBerry. The more damaged the BlackBerry is, the higher chance you have of winning. Get it? Also drop in a comment from the same email with what carrier you’d like. RIM made you mad by making you wait, they might have even had you think impure thoughts. I am using the 7290 on AT&T. I have been wanting to upgrade but want a device with GPS and WiFi in one so I passed on the curve when I heard rumors of the Bold. I have been waiting so long for the Bold…so tired of waiting. I need to get the Bold BGR!!! Pics will be coming of my 7290.

I have a RIM Blackberry model : R957M-2-5 that is waiting for a replacement. If you guys don’t know what that is, well, it’s a PIN to PIN ONLY blackberry back from the early 90s. My Rogers account needs a Bold to replace this atrocity.

I go to Long Beach State University. If you have ever been there, it is on a hill, so a lot of the buildings are elevated higher than that hill. Well, i was walking to class when someone from behind ran into me. I was on my blackberry with a phone call at that moment. When i got ran into, i hit this railing that prevents me from falling off the building (i was on the second floor walkway), my phone wasn’t so lucky. As i hit the railing my phone slipped, and I had to watch it fall two floor to the ground, where it broke into…well… what you see. Now, this is the really messed up part. When i got down to the bottom to get my phone, a group of guys stole the broken parts. They all ran, but i was able to catch one you had what you see there.
So now as i keepsake, i have my broken/stolen blackberry’s screen cover and keyboard.
The only bad part, I have no more blackberry, and life sucks
I am now using my mom’s old and busted First Gen Razr.
Please! If there is one thing i could have this year, it would have to be the Blackberry Bold. Not having a blackberry sucks, and to have to watch it as it fell two floors… sucked.

Well, despite the promises and the hoopla, the Bold is not available from Rogers today. I have visited three stores and finally phoned Rogers to see where I could get one. I can’t. “We’d hoped to have the Blackberry Bold available today but it has been delayed. Maybe tomorrow.”
I really don’t understand this. The press is happily announcing availability and there isn’t any. Does no one use fact checkers anymore?
Looking forward to win. My choice is the T-Mobile Germany.
oh yeah…. and then there’s the one that ended up being a dog toy.
I promise, if I get a Bold, the worst that will happen is that I’ll dissect it before it incurs any other damage, lol.
