BlackBerry Bold giveaway! Get one for your hood!
Since RIM completely screwed the pooch on this one (you know, like, delays for seven years?), we’re going to try and make it up to you! We’re giving away 5 BlackBerry Bolds for your local service provider. The 5 we are giving away are: AT&T, T-Mobile Germany, Rogers, Orange UK, and PCCW HK. The winner of the AT&T Bold won’t get their unit until launch since all devices we’re giving away are purchased from the respective carriers. You’ve got to play to win they say. Not so much when you’re dealing with a BGR giveaway, though. To enter, just email us a photo of your current BlackBerry. The more damaged the BlackBerry is, the higher chance you have of winning. Get it? Also drop in a comment from the same email with what carrier you’d like. RIM made you mad by making you wait, they might have even had you think impure thoughts. Wooohooo!!! whos excited to see who the winners are and see those damaged Berrys??? i shoulda took mine to a nice location to capture its thrashed beauty!! haha my track ball is finished now so im back to my old flip nokia till i can upgrade!! but If anyones phone is worse than mine they deserve it more than me lol!!! i met a kid with a flip phone and the screen was not attached to the phone! he walked around with the bottom half and still used it!!!! crazy or what!!! i dunno how he could hear them talk though..hmmm maybe speakerphone haha…hey BGR i won right? haha

BG, I’ve been digging in smartphone world for months, and the Bold looks like the device for me. The HTC Diamond is an overpriced toy…just another iPhone for more money. The Curve is a nice size, but the screen, processor and wifi/gps combo are not close to the Bold. My neighbor, a RIM SE, has let me play with the Bold and the screen is awesome. The Moto Q9h is decent, but so damned wide. The Blackjack is supposed to be business friendly? Samsung needs to go consumer or business and not straddle the two. Maybe the i780 will do it, but we can’t get it yet, if ever. The Sony stuff isn’t cutting it, and the Nokia E71 is beautiful, and perfectly sized, but just not U.S. friendly.

Well, I’m too late for the contest, but I have an R957M that looks like one of the first BBs. I’ve also got a RIM 2-way alpha pager. Both are from Cingular, so they can’t be too old…
I hope that BGR attempts to distinguish between those phones that have “true miles” and those that applicants purposely destroyed or even “burned”, just to win a Bold.
I’d love a new BlackBerry as mine is really dead
