LG’s PRADA II?

We don’t have much to go off of besides this picture right now, but it looks as if LG is keeping the PRADA line of mobile handsets around for a little bit. The PRADA II, as it’s pictured, adds a slide-out QWERTY keyboard for easier text entry. Let’s not fool ourselves… the original PRADA phone wasn’t the easiest thing to type texts or emails on. We can assume the PRADA II will have 3G, a 2 megapixel or better camera, and probably some nice internal memory. Since the specs aren’t confirmed, what would you add to the device?
Thanks, Daddy G.!

i would definitely add a more open OS, i.e. android or symbian

Definitely needs an app kill-switch.

Uh, I would slap a silver PRADA logo on the black iPhone 3Gs and a red PRADA logo on the white 16GB iPhone 3G and call it a day.

This product is dead plain and simple, it’s just that there is to much competition right now on the cell phone business and Prada is so yesterday if your just buying cause of the name

5 MP camera, wifi, lots of internal memory, fast processor, 3G obviously.
I’d also go with something unique: various back covers that are installed by the manufacturer but have different designs. Whether it’s Prada logos or Prada-inspired designs, this phone needs something to earn its name.

I would just the ICON 501 for 3G connection like Compal.

This is an obvious photoshop. I smell a fake.

a really long battery life would be great, and GSM quadband, as opposed to the original LG Prada, which was only triband

I would add…
-Better GUI
-Better OS
-Larger, and higher resolution Screen
-3G
-Better build quality (the Prada really felt cheap in my hands)
-Multitasking functions
-5MP camera with dual-LED flash
-Lastly, diamond encrusted

Why not just get an iPhone? As with every other me-too knock-off of the iPhone, this one copies its surface but not its ease-of-use philosophy.

“QWERTY keyboard”
Please, ALL keyboards are QWERTY. That refers to the layout of the keys, not whether they are physical or virtual. You can easily have a physical keyboard that is not QWERTY as well as a virtual one that is. So stop confusing the issue.

This phone looks really nice if true, wonder what os it’ll run. If it runs android I’d rather get this than the htc dream.

its not a iphone knock off. the prada phone came out months before the iphone. look it up.

I would buy this phone if it ran WinMo. Sure some people hate WinMo, but I’ve found it to work great if you can a> get a couple of updates after the fact and b> kill applications in the background. I never have to soft reset my WinMo units.
So this phone would be better than the Touch Pro because of the larger screen if it came with WinMo. Too bad LG is not saying anything about where/when it will come out… they might have gotten my $$$ instead of HTC…. but looks like HTC is going to have the best CDMA WinMo unit I can get for my provider…. if LG was going to come out in a matter of months I might have waited.

This is definitely the real deal, managed to have a play with one a few months back. It actually felt solid and I preferred the keyboard to the one on the Xperia X1(Which I managed to play with a few hours later).

I love the Prada phone (the original). For this new phone I’d LOSE the qwerty keyboard, add a slide cover for the camera, improved camera image quality, Xenon flash and a stereo jack for headphone. NO 3G. WiFi that lets me transfer data (music) to/from my PC.

Actually the Prada phone was out long before the iphone sooo who copied who?

Wow, if this thing is actually as thin as it looks, and if it uses Google Android, I’ll be purchasing this immediately.

first off all, it’s called a qwerty keyboard, because with just keyboard alone it could also be an 1,2abc,3def, multi-tap keyboard.
I think it while run WM6.1 just like ks20.
Or they put it on the market like a fashion phone with a fixed system with google apps,
cause it will have Wifi it’s more likely that the UI will be symbian or WM6.1
I hope it’s a UI from the ku990 with added WiFi.
Idea would be, a-gps working together with googlemaps, accelerometer (especially for race games) As Full touchscreen as it can be, no need for the keyboard. Needs to be wide but slim. Then were’s the need for Wm6.1/symbian/android? The android would probably be small enough build but the others are always getting to big.
That way those phones freeze, because you’d probably put something harmfull memmory eating option on.
With fixed systems it’s mostly ‘more guided’ on how to configure your phone the way you like it (and to do it correctly.) offcourse you miss out on navigation WITHOUT internetconnection with just gps. Fixed systems dont run.exe but with java everything is possible.
A craving to tweak? here’s a tip, with http://bermin.net/download.html you can change almost everything from the original UI layout. images/screens/sounds/movies/buttons etc. but there’s a Warning: get yourself informed properly.

I would add the caller reject option,
a built in projector
internal memory of 32gb
a tempered glass screen with the rest of the body made of carbon fibre
as i have just sold my LG secret and gone back to my LG prada i think these are but a few recomondations for additional features.
Peace out
Live long prada
Ps i am not gay because i got a girls phone !!

I would like to see A LOT of internal design options along with a few options for removalble hard cover. Another thing that would be nice is if it had a touch qwerty on the front. That would totally throw Apple for a loop.
