New silver Motorola Q9h with Windows Mobile 6.1 hits AT&T stores
This one kind of came out of nowhere, but it looks like AT&T stores across the country are beginning to take shipment of a new version of the Motorola Q9h. The new handset is chrome/silver in color, and looks pretty good if the image above is any indication. To our eyes, it looks like a cross between the new Bold and the Verizon BlackBerry 8830, which isn’t a bad homage at all. Also of note, this thing is shipping with Windows Mobile 6.1 out of the box. No word on pricing or release date, but if you head on down to your local AT&T corporate store and tell em BG sent ya’, you might be able to walk home with one today.

I’m pretty disappointed that they pulled the Q9c off of sprint’s website. I have one now with 6.1 and it’s just as good if not better than a blackberry.
Exchange email + extended battery + pretty decent browner = Sprint FTW!

And still those of us who use the HTC tilt (HTC Kaiser/8925) are left waiting if/when at&t gets of their butts and releases 6.1 for our device.
I wonder if this one has wi-fi like the other ones BGR had i sure hope so.That would make a great phone even better.

Uh….no, the battery life is fine on the Q9h, especially after the WM 6.1 upgrade.

The 6.1 update for the Tilt is actually not out yet. The file download on the page you linked to still is the old Tilt ROM (not 6.1).

I have one of these in my possession, there is no difference from the Q9h that Att currently carries other than the color. 6.1 is definitely a nice upgrade and Im currently running BB connect so my battery life is awesome.

I have a question for anyone that can answer…This phone says it has blackberry connect, when you download the BB connect, does it give you an option to do a “enterprise activation, just like the BB does in the advanced options menu? That is the only way I can access corp email, I need to type in my email and a password given to me by my IT dept. Anyone that knows, I would greatly appreciate the help. Thanks in advance.

I had an original Q back in the day. Horrible battery life. Glad this is better.
