Sprint preparing HTC Touch Diamond in red?
Usually carriers wait until a device has been on the market a while before re-releasing it in myriad colors. If these promo shots are to be believed, however, it looks like Sprint might be planning a preemptive color strike. The shots depict the upcoming Sprint version of the HTC Touch Diamond in full red regalia. The black is pretty becoming on the Diamond’s diminutive exterior, but the red is certainly looking to be an attractive option. As with all rumors, it’s entirely possible that this is a Photoshop dupe job, but we wouldn’t be shocked if the red Touch Diamond dropped alongside the black when it finally hits store shelves sometime in the next month or two. Specs are expected to be identical to the black version, which is to say the handset will still be a pretty formidable presence and should slot in at the top of Sprint’s smartphone lineup.

Any interesting reason someone photoshoped “ROFL” on the image?
first
Red is such a difficult shade to get right. I’ll have to see it to decide.
Looks like they rounded up the corners, which is a good thing. Hopefully they lost the faceted back too.
ROFL!?
i love it!
im glad i didnt get the instinct.
Best buy’s system shows it will be available on 8/17 just black though
this sunday? sprint hasnt even announced its existence yet
yeah i thought it was crazy myself but thats the in stock date. doesnt show any on the way right now but im sure it will shortly.
So I wasn’t the only one to notice the “ROFL” seemingly written on the picture using MS Paint…
ROFL is the guy who posted these pics. He watermarked them so people could give him credit on blogs like this.
i check the wedpage of best and they don’k have nothing yet
9/14 is launch date on Sprint
I heard the same release date as well. I hope so, because I bought the Instinct 2 weeks ago and I’m taking it back before the end of the month 9/29.
I just called Sprint to inquire about the Touch Diamond and the Touch Pro. I was told that the Diamond release date was pushed back to October 2008.
