Motorola Alexander’s non-QWERTY counterpart, Atila

Another leaked Motorola handset? You bet! This time we’ve got the brother-in-law to the Motorola Alexander — no QWERTY keyboard — with a pretty decent spec sheet. This one is codenamed Atila, and if you haven’t caught on to Motorola’s code names for Windows Mobile devices, they are all named after great conquerors; Alexander, Atila, Ghenghis, etc. The Atila is actually the first Motorola device that will have tri-band UMTS/HSDPA. Finally, right? We’re not sure on a release date, but here’s an introduction of the specs, followed by the actual spec sheet:
- Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE
- Tri-band UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA (850MHz/1900MHz/2100MHz)
- 7.2Mbps HSDPA, 1.8Mbps HSUPA
- 1130mAh battery
- 2.8″ QVGA 240 x 320 screen
- Wi-Fi b/g
- Qualcomm 7201A chipset
- Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional
Full spec sheet after the jump!
Thanks, “Daddy Genius”!

dear god a wifi/3.5g moto?!?!?!
whats the camera like?
What kind of processor and how fast?? How much RAM/ROM?
Will it blend?
Chris, did you read the actual post?
Moto, how about VGA? It seems to work fine on the new HTC devices with the 7201 chipset.
give this the nvidia graphics chip make the screen 3.2-5 inches big any make a nice winmo interface plugin (ala touchflo3d) but motoized and you have a sure fired winner oh and up the screen resolution too
notice how thecode names aer nmade after conquers alexander the th great atilla the hun.
whats next the cortez?
Is the screen capable of that resolution even? Looks like there were a bunch of these (crappy) screens in the market (HTCs devices used a ton of 2.8″ touchscreens) so Moto got a good deal. Ever since I got my iPhone, these tiny, inaccurate, washed out 2.8″ WinMo touchscreen phones make me shudder.
^ Somewhere, a village is missing you, idiot.
Gal, read the article fist next time. jojo = hypocrite.
In hopes that this will actually be nice…wait, Moto…nevermind.
Dtest,
jojo=asshole
Ugh, too bad it’s running windows mobile. All these winmo devices are different hardware with the same crap OS. Perhaps that’s why the iPhone and RIM is winning, because they’re the only PDA phones NOT running windows mobile.
Compared to Blackberry and Palm, Windows Mobile Standard ain’t too shabby.
Is it the first HSUPA capable device ?
This size of this phone is very nice.
ROFLMDAO @ Will it blend
Any news about this one? Maybe they have cancelled it…
it does blend!
